people always comment about how unsafe these are.. A helicopter is a Helicopter.. Only thing Unsafe is the pilot and whether its Maintenance is kept up with properly. The design is a proven one, and people have thousands of successful hours in these.. Personally I would opt for a shaft drive tail rotor, turbine engine and cyclic push pull rods rather than Cables, but either way, see em fly all the time..
I have heard bad things about those so called "experimental" helicopters. What is bad about them BTW! Bad or not, it has been MY DREAM to OWN one of these! So I can show it off! WOW
so it costs 60,000 us dollars thats so cool can you still buy them? if they could make cheaper ones of these this could be the future of personal aircraft transpertation instead of car swe woul all fly in helis =]]] that would make me happy or even better a airplane thats that small would be good to
@itsumonihon the newer model has safety redundancies though that basically prevent it from falling out of the air as you can see happening on another youtube video, that being said, even the one where the engine locked up was able to land with no injury on a golf course so overall it’s a pretty dam safe aircraft.
I noticed your 29 from canada I am 30 from canada. Is that your ship? What part of canada are you from. The registration on the ship is not canadian? I have one.
why is that this type of clutch seems to be engaged as soon as the starter is been applied.
you can see how the rotor beging to spin as the engine struggles to start ????

What insurance cost for these? Can you imagine the conversation..it goes like this.
Cust: I want to insure myself and my helicopter I built myself.
Agent: You built your own helicopter?
Cust: Yes. I taught myself how to fly as well.
Agent: You taught yourself how to flay a helicopter?
Cust: Yes, I got my licens online and watched a lot of youtube videos on how to fly a helicopter.
Agent: Well, good luck with that, maybe you could get some TARP money!
