Great ideas are hidden in the simplest things, this seems so obvious now, and yet took this long to come. I hope this becomes the standard. Although someday there will be more electronic than print, theres certainly many years of envelopes yet ahead.

I didn't see where the story talked about the financial impact of switching to such an envelope. Are her two-in-one (NOT reusable) envelopes more or less expensive? What hidden costs (if any) will arise from a transition to this technology?

If it costs more to implement this idea than what companies pay now, they're making a sacrifice for their environmental beliefs (right or wrong) and "going green." If it saves money, then they are just cutting costs to increase profits.

Now THAT, my socialist friends, is the reason FREE ENTERPISE works! Should this woman make a bundle from this idea? ABSOLUTELY! Should she be taxed outrageously if she makes millions from it because SOME think "wealth redistribution" is the path we should take? NO! WHY? Even if global warming is blown out of proportion, we obviously can be a lot more frugal with our supplies from the planet, and this is a big step towards it.

And even if Netflix already did this, did they ever get the post office to do it? No.
