He's definitely a Bengal. He has the same style coat as my Marble Bengal and he has a lot of the same personality quirks as my kitty. My cat's belly is spotted as well! :)
He looks like a marbled bengal cat, i have 7 bengals and im only 14 so i know alot about them, like most people said if his fur is soft or does he have round shaped marbles on his belly, but i may say that his face has a weird two black eyes, and i have never seen something like that in other marbled bengals or my bengals. I have 4 marbled ones and they look exactly like him except for the two eyes... Hope he has a good life with his family.... :D
I also have a Bengal; her name is Satine. She has thick bands, some rosetta spots on her hips, a strange double stripe running down her back, pelt fur and a spotted stomach (which looked hilarious after I had gotten her spayed). Another thing she has, which I was told was also a Bengal trait, is black pads and black fur on the entire bottom of her four paws.
Beautiful breed with an interesting personality :D
I think he has bengal in him, if he isn't a true bengal he's quite close. My bengal boy is more wirey than yours though, and his colour is brighter, thats why i'm not sure if your's is 100% bengal. Either way, he has bengal in him and he's very pretty :) thats all that matters! Good way to tell is if his fur shimmers in the light, its hard to explain but they have this weird fniish to their fur that makes it look like glitter when it catches the light
His fur should feel like a "Pelt" - that is how you tell. Also, the skin on the belly is spotted, as is the fur. Get him a playmate. That is what we did - I also have an Egyptian Mau - and a Marble Bengal Kitten - they are having the best of times.
he certainly has a lot of bengal in him. How big is he, Bengals are a big breed. I have a HUGE male bengal who adopted me. He was about 8 -- 10 weeks old when he came here. He's owned the place since.. Most loving and loyal cat I've ever had. He's big, strong and robust. Plus, he thinks he's a lap cat. Only problem is he tries to get the birds at the feeder in winter, and he hasa fouind a few baby rabbit nests in the spring. You have beautiful cat.
I too wondered for awhile i my cat was a bengal. I had never heard of that sort of breed. I searched on google "domestic cat with horizontal swirls" and marbled bengal is what came up. To raecarrow Mine also has the spots on his belly. Only thing he is a bobtail. I've had since he was a few weeks old. Is this normal or not.
He definitely looks like a bengal to me. If you look at the \ similarities in the face between Tigger and my Teddy it is pretty obvious. Teddy is really soft. All bengals I have ever pet all feel like they have bunny fur. I would say that he is at least part (if not mostly or all) bengal. Is his belly spotted? That is one of the breeds defining traits.
Yes, his belly is light and spotted. Two days ago, I gave him his first bath in the 5 months I've had him and his fur came out even shinier and softer. Bunny fur softness is a good description. The shine is exquisite! I suspect he is a pure bengal who got lost and ended up in a shelter. He'll never have papers, but that's not important to me. I just want to understand his innate personality and behavior.
Enjoy your beautiful cat. Mine was adopted in Key West for $40.00 My first ever marble bengal. We thought he was just a big tabby. he is now 10 and a half. They get big! Rimsky, my cat, is 23 pounds, muscular and active. He is very sweet and extremely smart. I was not a cat person until Rimsky came into my life. A word of advice- marble bengals do like to be lap cats and will leap on your stomach thinking they are little tiny kittens. You will build strong abdominal muscles. :)
