No real difference in practical terms between regulating marijuana & marijuana products & regulating tobacco & tobacco products. Unless the Supreme Court were to radically change direction on this issue a federal ban on cigarettes would probably pass constitutional muster. To say that the fed government has the power to ban marijuana, but not cigarettes, is inconsistent; if it has the power to ban 1, it has the power to ban both.

There is no justification whatsoever for banning smoking anywhere that is OUTDOORS unless it constitutes a fire hazard, such as at a gas station, etc. This is ridiculous.

We need to fight for our rights as Americans. Non smokers have every right to have smoke-free environments where reasonably possible and where it doesn't infringe on a business owner's right to run their establishment the way they see fit, but that doesn't mean EVERY place should be a smoke-free environment.

Sway the vote, be vocal, tell Mr or Mrs candidate they will lose your vote if they support new taxes or stricter bans on tobacco. Lobbyists might be powerful, but they are not unbeatable. Elected officials still need votes to win and stay in office. A national weight of 16%+ is a lot of votes.
