  • Sweet! Stumbled across this while preparing for P&W service for Sunday. Pleasant surprise!

  • nice job

  • Same here

  • hey man can you please make a video of you playing it slow??? im trying to learn it for church and cangt find acuret tabs!

  • I have 33 years as a guittaris, and let me tell you, he fooled you all, cause his not the one you are heaering, his time dont even match the real one. Good one guy, do a video just you doing the solo without linconl

  • @catarinense07 sit down u negro

  • @catarinense07

If you read the description, Nate even said he didn't play it note-for-note. Some parts, yes, and some, no. He played his attempt at the solo over the track, which alot of people do, even IronDan1.

  • @catarinense07 It's called playing along with the song..... and learn to spell before you comment on anyones video.. "guittaris" <--- nice..

and another thing.. i would LOVE to see you play it..

  • wow man great solo. what key is this in? god bless

  • What effects are you using on this song?

  • WOW im glad i found this song.. :) nice playin man

  • Great job on this! This is one of my favorite songs and an amazing solo to hear.

  • Well done, sir.

  • God Bless ! awesome job

  • from what i heard u played well along the tempo great job

  • The guy who criticized you for "playing faster than the song calls for" is a guitarist who is jealous of you. Trust me. You played fast in sections, but it was so beautifully juxtaposed against wailing melody. You really felt it. Best of luck from a 34 year old worship leader who can't play as well as you.

  • Playing this from the heart is what matters and I am lucky I can even watch these videos with what is happening in this country right now.

  • why would he play faster than what the part calls for? I don't see how this comment even makes sense.

  • i was just kidding. i thought it was great.

  • Dude, I only just discovered Lincoln Brewster from stumbling upon this clip. Am addicted now....all I can say is THANK YOU!

  • And this is incredible! I'm trying to learn this solo at the moment and it's pretty difficult. Very good job, 5 stars.

  • Praise God almighty!!!

  • does anyone have a tab for the solo?

  • AWESOME!!!! GREAT JOB...

  • Nice guitar brosef, rockin' the JEM! Keep up the good work!

  • its broseph

  • you think maybe you can post an instructional video or something? lol that'd be sweet

  • you know when you play from the heart it doesn't seem like theres any mistakes in it. either that i'm listening by heart and not hearing the mistakes

  • COOL!

  • Great song, great job on the solo. Great guitar, Jems are sweet. Keep rocking for God, He does reign.

  • you play good. God bless!

  • Any chance of you tabbing that out? Or at least posting the primary scales used? I'd really appreciate it!

  • Wow, that's cool. You did that without sitting down learning note by note?? Hey, you are so talented. Does Lincoln know how you play? Maybe someday he will ask you to join his band. Ask him to check out your video! God bless you!

  • Hahaha, That'd be awesome, why don't you put in a good word for me. ; )

  • You might have to ditch the Ibanez to join his band though lol jk

  • Lol ya..after seeing him in concert I immediately switched to fender from gibson. His fender is just so f'ing nice

  • Any chance you were the second guitarist with Uli Jon Roth on his recent tour? You look just like him and you sure can play!

  • unless I'm like the guy from "fight club" who is living two different lives and doesn't know it, no that's not me. But thanks for the compliment.

  • Great Job Nate!

  • Bro that was awesome solo! God Bless ya.

    Frettlessmind...

  • I came across you while looking through some of Lincoln's vids. This song is one of my favourites and you're really really good!

  • so did you take lessons or are you self taught? Also what exercises do you practice to get that speed and dexterity on the trills. Would love a vid showing some things to practice like what you do around 0:34 - 0:38. If you could slow that down and show it that would be great. I finally got Let the Praises Ring nailed down after IronDan1's video of it slow. I started out slow and the speed came.

  • I think it says on his myspace page or on his youtube channel

  • Yeah I noticed that after made my comment. Same music school as Via and Satriani right? Berkley. Nate are you still in the bay area? If so are would love to meet up and see if you would like to give some lessons!

  • It's actually "Berklee" in Boston. But I don't go there anymore b/c it was too expensive. I took classical guitar lessons in high-school, but most of the electric stuff I do is self taught. So you live in San Francisco? One of the places I haven't been, but it looks very nice.

  • Well I know I'm 7 months late, but I believe what he's doing from 0:34-0:38 is something like this (It's very possible that I'm wrong.) :

    e 12h17p12

B 15p14h15 (or those notes could be picked.)

    I

  • Have I ever asked what you use for tone? Is it a Pod XT?

  • For tone I have two things that I use as far as amps go.

    1. Crate Blue Voodoo 150w tube amp

    2. POD X3 LIVE

Both have their pro's and con's. The POD is much easier to record b/c I can run the line out right to my apogee duet, where as with my Blue Voodoo I have to mic it up in a separate room. Overall I've done most of my video's with the blue voodoo, but this one was done with the POD, using a MS Plexi head with 4x12 1968 green 25's, which I believe is the same set-up Lincoln uses on his POD.

  • Nate, awesome job!!! Youtube cannot keep up with your fingers on that one, it just blurs!!! God's given you some serious skills. I too LOVE that song so much. Even my 21 month old son, love to sing along and play his guitar to it!

  • thanks man, I really appreciate all the encouragement you've given me.
