Another fun trivia about Spalsh Mountain is that the gopher that pops out of the ceiling before the big drop actually say "Go FSU!" really fast. The reason for this is because the designer was actually a FSU alumni.

This is a common misconception because the film takes place AFTER the Civil War. One example is when Uncle Remus leaves the plantation of his own free will and is not treated as a runaway. Walt could have avoided much of the controversy by stating what year the story takes place.
Yeah, the movie might take place after the war but the reason it has been so difficult to get recently is for the very idea. That is of course unless you can find some kind of proof there is another reason for the limited distribution.

@davidbsva As far as I know, that is true for the Disneyland attraction in California. But I believe that the Florida attraction amounts to 68.
