  • ya ven!!!!......compren un vocho \m/

  • great ad...

  • >I have always recalled this commercial , it stuck in my mind In retrospect it si a joy to drive a car you really love!!!

  • this shows how much the currency has been devalued

  • HA HA HA!!

  • Funnny!!!! New nickname : The Kremplars!!!

  • i wish i could do this today lol. $3000= a new car and like new everything!

  • It's called the Tata Nano from India- $ 2000.00 new

  • not in the us though- but it is small and simple lik ethe beetle-we need those here

  • @accordguy0325

I heard that they are planning on selling it in the USA too. The Nano was at the Detoit Auto show last year not in the show but was shown to reporters outside the show the day before it opened to the public. Word was a USA version was coming and would sell for $3500-4000. They had to change the engine, but the chasis has already passed Euro NCAP crash testing.

  • The funny thing is Mr.Jones Car probably wont last half as long as Mr.Krempler's.

  • @RexSand But Its So CHEAP And Eazy To Maintain :P

  • What a great ad

  • i guess the joneses have to keep up w/ someone also lol

my grandpa bought a brand new vw back in the 60s for less than 3000 and drove it off the dealership...it was the only car he bought new i think --__--

  • ja! esos weyes si tenian creatividad!!! uno muestra su carro caro de lujo, y el otro, compra su estuga, su lavadora, su refri, etc... y un vw nuevo!!!! asi era la finalidad de ese carrito: la economia.

  • All that new stuff AND a new VW for 3 large?

I was born way too late!

  • So was I...I would love to buy a VW that isn't rusted out.

  • Hey! I have a 72' Bug as well. My dad always told me stories about how he used to buy beetles for $20 a pop and rod the shite out of them!

Nowadays it costs a little more for one of these little suckers, but they still rock and roll just the same!

(If not better with the surplus of performance parts at relatively cheap prices compared to other vehicles after-market parts)...I've personally chosen the 2027cc route for my 72' :)

I love it! I also love how Everyone I meet has a story about a bug!

  • i love beetle!

  • I remember TV ads for the selling for $999.99 when I was a kid. By time I was old enough to get one new off the lot, the sticker price was 1299.99 LOL

  • and now its like, 30,000 :)

  • LOL quite interesting. I reminds me of recent commercial from Hyundai Azera, compared to Lexus LS 460.

VWs were very reliable at those days. Currently I see no much vantage on buying them. Anyway Krempler was somehow smart when he chose the Beetle.

  • This is one of the most inteligent commercials i neven seen in all my life. Este es uno de los comerciales más inteligentes que he visto en mi vida

  • Keeping up with the Kremplers... Hahahaha!

  • volkswagens have heater boxes that are part of the exhaust.they use the exhausts heat to heat the car.

  • ahhhh My 1966 VW is so proud of this commercial

  • Yeah! And so is my 1978 convertible! ( 1966 is my birth year) I wuld love to have a car that age!

  • An Inteligent buy!!! but today's VW are not so cheap in my country (Venezuela)

  • Today some Volkswagens are $40.000. for that kind of money in those days you can buy 5 of Mr Jones houses. What ever happened to those day when VWs were cheap cars. No more I guess lol

  • And a bit more legroom for the backseat passengers, too!

  • Its 3000 thousand dollars

  • @beetlejuice150 i got a 71

  • true, but mr. jones will have heat when he drives in the winter.

  • for this i'll gonna buy a bug, not a toyota camry hahaha
