How to refresh the chest, better:

1. Wait for caravan at Dawnstar

2. Look chest

3. save game

4. kill store owner

5. load

6. Go back to refreshed chest

@Undeadspiral Both take time, grab the items, go sell the items, come back. Less work with this method, the saving and loading can take alot of time at certain times. therefor making this method the faster one as i have done both methods and this one is the better one

How to refresh the chest:

1. Wait for the Khajiit caravan to set up in Dawnstar.

2. Wait 48 hours.

3. Talk to the Khajiit merchant.

4. Look back in the chest.

5. PROFIT, BITCHES!!!

it doesnt respawn after time. you hav to wait until the khajits are around then you talk to the one with all the loot and it respawns

Tip: Just to make this a lot quicker without becoming forever over-encumbered.  Have a companion 'WAIT' right next to the invisible chest. speak to your companion and select 'I need you to do something'. Then click on the (invisible) chest and select 'Take all from chest'. Saves you having to haul everything back to your base. You can do this repeatedly. ;)

It's there because Bethesda didn't want people just pickpocketing an entire store from traders so they put the merchendise in an invisible chest.

@MrAnarchy05 Well what about using the manikin armor glitch to get unenchanted armor like Nightingale, or dragon priest masks so you can put enchantments you actually like on? There's no other way to get things like that that i'm aware of. It's not really giving you an advantage. Because you could have the enchantment you want on another armor with equal stats. It's just aesthetically pleasing. Trust me, not every glitch makes you a noob. Exploiting things like that are just for fun not to cheat

It's actually supposed to be hidden completely off-map, if you're on the pc there's a console command to drop below the map and I'm pretty certain that you'd be able to see it hovering there like you can with all the other shop chests.
