Wonder why some drivers like to drive forward a little while tipping the bin...doesn't seem to have any advantage except that it maybe gives them the feeling they're 'always moving' and getting the job done quicker...It only makes the resident have to walk to both sides of the driveways to pick up their trash bins.
The arm's fine, usually a feature makes the grabber automatically tightens round the bin, but that can hold everything inside, so the feature usually gets disabled which is why the bin is loose...

Does the driver aim the collector arm,seems to have control of where it is put down.
A small RFID circuit could aim for the driver as well as spot containers and drive, then driver could keep up with text messages ? OH MY GEEK
