At this point for Jason I think he's basing his choices on the chemistry that he has with each woman. From what I can gather the reason why he was so put off by Naomi and possibly her father is because he's Jewish. I'm not sure that Naomi picked up on this fact, maybe it wasn't discussed. If he does choose Melissa I'm sure a meeting with her parents will happen, just not onscreen. Understanding where your partner comes from (parents) tells you a lot about their character whether good or bad.
