Skills matters more then just some numbers I mean now anyone can get 5k gear score since they just do lots of randoms and get Emblem or Frost marks and get invited so easy, unlike before in Vanilla or BC you had to be skilled to go to raids, it's like anyone who has 5k or higher can go and fail at raids.

With skills a group will not fail

With numbers you have chance that the group will fail.

sory buy you are very wrong about gear score. if someone has a low gearscore then the absolutly should not be raiding . a high gearscore means that the player atleast has the capability of doing well in your raid. also if someone is smary enough to get there gearscore very high then they most likely are skilled as well. anyone who puts that much time into there toon will obviously have some idea of what they are doing.

@1337GAMExzor Complete BS. There are several guilds and sets of groups on my server that let people pay them to get ran through ICC. What drops there? High iLevels that boost GearScore.

Doesnt mean their smart or know anything, someone is baby feeding them. GearScore Proves nothing other than adding ilevels and for all you know, all that high scored gear could be Str + agility on a resto druid? lol?

@1337GAMExzor not entirely accurate because now you can pretty much do a few dungeons yeah and get your gs boosted up to 5.2k pretty easy, on top of that you can do weekly/daily frost and do 10/25man icc which is bloody easy to get a group for even if you don't know how to fucking play..

i dislike GS because i play a rogue that had a gs of 4.5k and i raided with another rogue who had 5.6k GS but i out classed him and i was #1 dps, mainly because i have been playing my rogue since vanilla-wow. i know what works with the class and was does not...and for people who will say noob has low lvl raiding gear. i just started raiding. i used to only pvp and do arena's and was in the top 20 in the world but my team stoped playing wow so i went to raiding. skill means very thing..not gear

Ofc there is a crit cap - 100%. You cant crit more than always.

But the fact that raid bosses are higher lvl than yourself, means that the acctual crit cap is a little higher..

THE HUNTER CRIT CAP IS 104,8%.

Gearscore just stupid, i tank with my 80dk and we had ha 80mage with 2200 gearscore and a 80rogue with 4300 gearscore, dps on mage 2600, dps on rogue 1900. Insted of gearscore it should be experiens score. :-)

If you want to get your overall skill better,roll a warrior - it requires it in PvP. Just try doing some arenas instead of PvE,believe me you'd enjoy it as much as you can!Warrior is very fun class to play,unless of course you don't know how to play it,but this can be fixed,while leveling you'll learn how to pvp especially if you go in STV/Tanaris or some of the places where World pvp's at ! Doing constant low-lvl battlegrounds will also give you an overall better grade let's call it that way .

Considering you want to go tegether with your friend your best choice for leveling purposes would be a feral druid or a shaman maybe. Once I picked druid too for similar considerations and now it's my favorite healer class, not to mention its resto aoe skin farmer and herb gatherer potentials.

I think rogue is the most interesting and most versatile DD class. It takes some time to master different playstyles with it though, but regarding the wide range of choices between survivability, defensive and offensive skills/talents in all kinds of situations it's really fun to play with a rogue. It really takes a lot of practice to master perfect timings but at least it offers endless varieties assuming you wanna be a skilled one who doesn't want to spam just 3-4 buttons at all times.

pallies play most like a hunter, i have a lvl 80 hunter and pally and it is easy to switch between, they can tank and heal too, but healing is sometimes not as good as other healers. I also have played a mage and rogue in higher levels and i would recommend a rogie over a mage for leveling since mages can get pretty boring in a while and at lower levels they end up dieing when you are afk or just from having to many monster on you, but if they are going to heal, go mage, but i just love rogues!

dear tribunalx i use heart of the pheonix granted it does get rid of one posible dps buff but it allows you to get rid of that problem where if our pet dies you dont lose most of those buffs cause every 10 min you can rez your pet mana free at full hp therefore not losing as much dps as if you dont get it and have your pet die then lose it all together
