That's not entirely what happened. Lincoln didn't start the war. In fact, some places experienced fighting before Lincoln was even President. DiLorenzo completely ignores the rights of the many pro-Union southerners, to say nothing of slaves.
It's worth taking note of DiLorenzo's criticisms of the Union, they're sensible, but his defense of the Confederacy is ridiculous. Secession is an important right, but that particular secession wasn't a right since it threatened other's property
I love this interview and this dilorenzo guy has some interesting information. another bullshitter the (court historian) oh my god; nothing but a bullshitter. and paid to be that. WOW.
I new doris goodwin was a hired historical liar. There are alot of them in america, hired to lie that's what they get paid to do. Shes full of shit. like most historians. She's always on main stream news shows lying about history; sad.
I agree.. People have no idea. I read DiLorenzos book from cover to cover.. And I'm with him on Lincoln and this countries real history. It's scary to me that we were all taught all the wrong stuff in school about Lincoln and I don't think it was an accident.
The difference between what we're taught and what really happened is amazing. Most of the history we are taught cannot be backed by hard evidence. The fact that the Federal Reserve has been able to survive for almost a hundred years without a revolution is testament to public ignorance about government inter workings.
i dont know, maybe it was just me. Even though i agree that yes lincoln was taught in a very good light, when learning about him, i was still taught that civil war was fought the preserve the union, lincoln was not the strongest supporter of slavery, lincoln was a horrible commander in chief in his first term, etc. I do agree that history teachers have a really hard time going against lincoln, but i think they do they best to show both sides.

Abraham Lincoln had dark skin, coarse hair and was parodied in the press as Abraham Africanus I.

Abraham Lincoln was a Black Man with probable Ethiopian Ancestry. His mother, Nancy Hanks had an affair with a Kentucky slave named Iemus.
Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Warren Harding, and Calvin Coolidge all had African ancestry.

don't get depressed. For one: it's unpopular history: 99.9% of people don't care. For two: many of DiLorenzo's other videos are quite popular.
