Personally, I think Keiko's voice and power brings out the feeling of the song. Her powerful chorus just makes it all better, and somehow, it gives the song its place. Just my opinion. ><
Man! I wish I understood the words to this video... its so powerful with the different paces and the different sounds coming from the different women... the lighting helped give a little explanation but I wish I understood what was going on... it would have given it a greater effect... either way, its a beautiful song sung very well...
I respect Keiko-san ,but I don't think that this live version in 2008 is so good. Her voice itself is impressive, but in the chorus(0:33-1:21, 1:54-2:43, 3:28-4:16), her singing is too powerful, makes this song a bit monotonous. On the contrary, the CD version by Marina-san understands this song well, although her voice is a little weak.If you would like to listen to Keiko's live, I'll recommend 2009 version, where she sings more delicately and beautifully. During one year, she improved a lot.
@jinglx I disagreed with you. I think Keiko sounded awesome in 2008 live concert, and everybody else as well. The chorus sounds good to me. You hear their voice softly in the background while Keiko sings with her powerful deep voice, to me its perfect.
Yuki Kajiura is the composer and she's the keyboardist in this video. The main vocalist is Keiko Kubota. The song was first used as an ED song for Le Portrait de Petit Cossette in 2004. The girls in the video are from the FictionJunction project which started later.
Keiko and Wakana now form Kalafina group with Hikaru and their producer/composer is still Yuki Kajiura.
Keiko needs to calm down with the hand motions and whatnot. I mean, I know she's being energetic and expressive but when she does that, I can't help but think she's trying to teach a lesson while she's singing. I see teachers and preachers give hand motions and gestures like that. But, my God, she has a gorgeous voice. I don't like how she, like, bobs up and down and bends and kneels kind of forward tho'.
I agree with you on the hands/arm motions. I mean it's good in all that she is into it, but I do wish that she kind of NOT do sooo much of it...lol because it gets kind of exaggerated on performance-wise. She did a lovelyjob on the song.
Keiko - short and normally talks in higher pitch! She has an incredibly rich vocal range. She can sing in a higher pitch (like half-way through Oblivious when she takes turns with Wakana, and then she sings something like Kimi ga Hikari ni Kaeteiku). She's so very expressive and energetic! I really love her in Seventh Heaven and Kimi ga Hikari ni Kaeteiku.
I agree, Keiko/Kaori make a great singing pair. Wakana/Keiko do, too.

@jinglx I agree with you completely, I feel like she didn't quite get the feeling of the song across.

As much as I love Keiko, I think I like Marina's a bit better >.< Don't kill me XD It would be so epic if they did a duet :3

Even though Inoue Marina's version was good, Keiko's version is darker and more gothic. Suits my taste best! XD

i think she sings beautifully, the hand actions are there because they should be & that shes better than marina inoue, even though i love her too.
TheVioletBunny 2 years ago
besides the song is supposed to be her singing to someone so i think her hand motions add to the point of her singing to someone and the emotions
KazekageXKarris 2 years ago
this is honestly my favorite performance
and i believe that if keiko is into the song she should be able to move around and get into it like that
i absolutely love her voice <333
