  • Whoops, anyways i had the exact same surgery six months ago. In october the same time as you!! And i had a degree of i think 55 for my upper curve, and a degree of 37 for my bottom curve. My scoliosis was caused by a neurological problem that i had when i was seven, and so i had to have a surgery back then. So that was my first surgery and six months ago was my second surgery on my back. I know what you mean when you say youll feel self concious, i do. And im a competitive swimmer so my back i

  • Heyy!! So i had the exact same surgety

  • Hello, Im also from the UK.. North West to be precise :) ive been watching your scoliosis videos and i hope you have recovered well. I to have scoliosis and will be having surgery later this year. My degree of curvature is alot worse than yours was before you had surgery and im really scared.. if its not a rude question, how was your experience?

  • @blocki666 Heya! I'll be making another video soon, but at the moment things are perfect (no exaggeration- I've been to the gym and swimming, now have a job, and am back to my normal self!) I was VERY scared before surgery (ask anyone who knows me). It's not a rude questions at all- I love trying to help people face their operations since I've been there myself :). The first month is tough yeah, but you recover surprisingly fast and it's not as bad as you think! Feel free to message me anytime!

  • @pandas1527 Thats excellent to hear! i was told not to get to ahead in impact until a year after surgery but then again, i have kyphoscoliosis which is a twist aswell as a curve. My curve was found early when it was 42 degrees and now its 102. The hospital keep messing me about. I will look forward to your next video :) x

  • ya i had surgery too, sucked so fricken bad aw well, youre really pretty btw :)

  • @NevinGallant Haha yeah sucks like hell doesn't it! We made it through though- go us! Aww that's really kind of you to say, thank you! =) x

  • Hi. Many years ago, I had an operation for scoliosis in Toronto Sick Kids. Because of a congenital defect at the top of my spine they couldnt operate on the top half. The top of my spine was rigid. Dont limit yourself to anything. Every year I practice for the Terry Fox run in Alberta and do the ten k run. Ive done it for the past three years and plan to do it as long as my legs keep me up. By the way, the scar fades. Take care.

  • Hey, did you have your surgery!?, Im 17 I believe I suffer from a form of Scoliosis/Kyphosis although iv never gone to my GP to check it out. Iv noticed a curve although I do tend to look in a mirror often and tell myself to stand up strait and put my shoulders back, which seems to get rid of the hump for the time been. Basically did you do something like this? were you able to stand up strait and put your shoulders back? Im currently shitting myself over this haha! Cheers. x

  • @valiantfan93 Hey there! I had surgery 6 wks ago. If you watch my later videos you can see me talking a bit more about it. I can totally understand how you must be feeling- I was completely paranoid and scared out my wits about it most of the time too lol. Anyway looking in a mirror, I couldn't really see the curve, and I could definitely stand up straight with my shoudlers back (though one maybe did stick out a bit sometimes). Bending made the curve obvious. Feel free to message me anytime! xxx

  • @successforlife100.... Try to stay positve and strong!! When people stare just smile and wave so they know you see them staring.. It should make them feel bad or at least awkward.. Ignore the mocking ppl that need to get a life and grow up. Live life to the fullest.. Don't let others bring you down.. Hope this helped you!!

  • I am 13 and have had scoliosis for a while and know the pain your going though! Stay strong and be positve!! My friend had surgery after she was in a horrible car accident and it went perfect! It will be fine! If you come 2 North America visit Michigan!! You will love it!!

  • u know i have it too. but my family dont have finance for the operation. am sick of life. i dont walk straight and everybody mocks at me at school. life is unfair. hope ur operation is sucessful and wish u lots of sucess in life. bzw keep me informed of your operation. thanks

  • @successforlife100 *hugs* Thank you for the comment =] . Yeah I'm actually extremely lucky to live in the UK, because my operation is covered on the NHS so we don't have to pay for it. But look, I know it's not much coming from a complete stranger halfway across the world, but I just thought I'd say that I agree- life really isn't fair sometimes, which sucks a lot, but I absolutely promise you that things will get better- afterall, school doesn't last forever. Best of luck with everything <3 xxx

  • I had scoliosis surgery in 1989, I have run 10 marathons with a personal best of 2:57:54 (age 38) at last years Vancouver marathon. In fact I just got a personal best for the half marathon (1:22:44) this weekend in New Orleans. I run 70 miles/week w/ no problems. I had a right thoracic curve. Best of luck!!!
