  • thank you for this easy to follow tutorial, I just installed gimp and love the idea that it is a free program and the high ratings it has been given.

  • Very helpful indeed! Thank you!

  • your tutorial 'using curves to improve contrast' is very helpful. thanks...

  • great, thanks

  • I like your videos - clear and easy for a learner of gimp like myself. cheers mate.

  • Very useful - I'd never bothered learning the curve tool before, but now I have a bunch of scans of old photos I need to brighten up, this is perfect.

  • I rather enjoyed your waffling! Great tutorial, off to learn some more Gimp tricks. Thanks for doing these tutorials!

  • I am a beginner and this tutorial has been very useful to me. The author understands the beginner and has structured this accordingly. Moreover, a clear voice and easily understandable pronunciation (I'm Indian and understood easily). Thank you very much!

  • I like how you actually explain what curves is and what the line means

    Thank you :)

  • Another way of preserving a master copy (the original) is to immediately save it with a different name. This doesn't over write the original, and instead creates a separate copy which can be worked on. I've always done this with Word files.

  • thanks..its useful..presto!

  • Thanks for the tutorials, did anyone notice the image "went G major" at 3.33? At 3.33! o.O

  • I found it helpful. I've been searching and searching for something that will do an excellent job of editing scans of OLD 35mm photographs! Everything I've tried to this point has been all right, but not the MIRACLE I'm wanting! The curve tool did make a better improvement in the image.

  • How can I change all pixels of a certain colour into a specified different colour without effecting anything else of a picture?

  • I thank you :D

This REALLY did help a lot :)

  • Definitely the audio volume is quite good on this one. Aside from the volume the only request I could ever have of you is that you refrain from using any slang terms that may confuse other areas of the globe, unless you explain the meaning of the term at the time; so many examples can be cited its not really necessary to get into it.

Great series of offerings malgalin. I've seldom seen a mistake in them and your enthusiasm to get the rest of us in the artpool with you is enviable.

  • thanks so much. Tour tuts are fab to help us newbies understand the basics of gimp. You speak clear and give great tips too. (love your accent too!). Looks like you've travelled to some cool places as well. thanks again.

  • Very clear and simple. Excellent.

  • New tool I never even knew I had lol. Thanks your tutorials are the best

  • awesome !! You got me inspired to try gimp. Very easy to follow and very audible instructions. Keep it up! Greetings from the Philippines!

  • Awesome video!

  • GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • tnx man :)

  • THANKS MAN REAL GOOD TUTORIALS.

  • thanks again:K) - i'm enjoying learning with your tutorials and learning how the different features of GImP can translate into fun for me!

  • Thank you again ;)

  • Thank you so much for taking the time to share! And I like your waffleing. Some tutorials move too fast for beginners like myself - the fact that you take it a bit slower is a plus for a lot of us. :)

  • I was playing around with the curves tool a bit the other day but wasn't quite sure the best way to use it. This helps a lot. Thanks!

  • No offense, I didn't like it that much :-)

It took you 2 Minutes to get to the point this tutorial is about.

But finally I got a faint idea of what this color curve is about ;-)

  • None taken.

    I waffle. It's what I do.

  • Cool people waffle when they talk. Thanks for the vid, very easy to follow and very helpful.

  • Very very good indeed. Simple, clear and very useful. I would like to see more simple uses for GIMP like this. Thank you again.

  • Thank you for your help. Video is the way to go! You rock!

  • I wuv your tutorials XD

  • Great vid.
