@goohber1 too many gay walk comments, I must point everyone to read the Animator's Survival Kit, at the beginning the author talks about gay walks, and I don't see this character having a leveled head over all the walk cycle, wich is the main characteristic of gay walks, people..do your research...XDD

I also found this video, which at the 1:51 mark shows that it boomerangs back to him, although it usually has to ricochet back. It also displays proper Cap shield protocol (The shield in his left arm or his back and attacking with the shield in his right arm) Spot on observations.

I like this Cap and the Spider-man lego guys. It is cool that you animated them, now if you could get them to fight each other, it'd be epic!

A ricochet (play /ˈrɪkəʃeɪ/ rik-ə-shay) is a rebound, bounce or skip off a surface, particularly in the case of a projectile. The possibility of ricochet is one of the reasons for the common firearms safety rule " Never shoot at a flat, hard surface."

@themautrix I know what a ricochet is, but that does not necessarily denote that return to sender. To "boomerang" something is commonly known to mean "to return or come back to its original position".

Heck, the verb form means that exact thing: "to come back or return, as a boomerang." So when I said, to Boomerang his shield, I was more accurate than you were. ;)

Besides, Captain America doesn't need a ricochet to boomerang his shield.

@scottb3034 Well, I never saw the awesome Captain America recover the shield without a ricochet effect, also the Marvel Encyclopedia talks about the ricochet effect being the most famous characteristic of Cap's Shield, I did my research about these things when creating my vision of this character.

P.S.: I would love to have a reference (comic, tv episode, movie..) about the boomerang-no_ricochet recover of the shield.

@themautrix BTW, sorry for having the shield in it's right hand...as he only does that when in danger, if he where just walking like in the video, he'd rather had it in his left hand or in his back...that was my conclusion after observing a lot....pls comment on this as I find it very interesting..

There is also the Tony Stark version that Cap can magnetically control, but that didn't last too long.

I vaguely remember a comic scene where it shows Cap's shield boomerang through enemies positioned in a semi-circle without changing trajectory. That may be the source of my mistake that he could regularly perform that trick in addition to his trademark ricocheting.

make him do more than just walk, then i'll be impressed with the animation. until then i can only be impressed with the model, and since i've modeled giant legomen before it's nothing too impressive to me. I would be impressed with the cloth simulation, if it werent for that fact that it werent noticeable. other than that, not too bad. ignore everyone who says the walk is gay. just give them more than just a walk

it's already done some time ago..still not uploaded..have to render it again..it's made as the rest in 3dsmax with vray, but this time with some little test with *.rpf format for compositing with combustion..just a test..guys keep commenting..it may fire it up!
