Peugeot are serious rockets, but the only time they can beat Audi is when Audi's endurance is at its worse - i.e. '09 - that was some race of attrition. I loved the 2010 race. Kristensen is the man - loved to see him win another overall, but the French Lions blowing up 3 engines and a suspension mess up and Audi 1,2,3. Can't beat that with a stick. Love to see how these coupes are going to kick ass.
So you dont look at the fact that Peugeot started 1-2-3 at Le Mans 2008 and this was just the second time with their new car? My favourites is Audi but i respect Peugeot very much.
i love 24h Le Mans!its the better endurance race in the world.i like Pedro Lamy(because he is portuguese like me),and i think he is going to win this year.or maaybe Tom K.
Peugot can't beat Audi. I'm sorry but the French don't know how to make race cars. Ok, Renault F1, but they are headquartered in England. Besides they buy most of their components from German company Bosch. So it really isn't even a French car.
Pfff The guy who knows nothing. Check a bit the palmares of Peugeot in racing history, and the one of Audi. You will be surprised how Peugeot outclass Audi. Plus French don't know how to make racecars. Bugatti the most successfull brand in racing history is french. Citroen dominate WRC (as Peugeot did before).

@number1Schumacherfan Then why did the Peugeot 905s win Le Mans back to back in 1992 and 1993? They know what they're doing, it's just the diesel cars aren't like anything they've dealt with before.
yeah i heard that this is the last year for open cockpit cars which in my opinion is stupid cause i find they look better hopefully some people agree with me
well they have the "legends" race evry year... however i haven't seen any of the porsche 956/962, sauber c9/c11/c291, peugeot 905 or nissan r90 cp/ck so far...:(
Comparing the R10 to most of the others... it power peaks at 4200 rpm, torque peaks around 2500... Not to mention it had 200+ more torque than everyone!!! This proved for a car that pulls VERY hard out of a curve and is able to put down more power sooner.
can anyone advise me on the best area to camp for general madness during the weekend and the best place to be for the actual race. Will be my first year so am really clueless
the Club Arnage guide would help, but theres only the 2006 and 2007 guide. don't know when they'll release the 2008 edition. maybe a month out from the race.
in terms of aerodynamics, the closed coupe would create less drag but also generate more lift, while the open top would have the opposite effect.
i think most teams use the open top design because its more simpler, in that you don't have to worry about the doors, windows fogging up, windscreen wipers etc. Its also easier to perform driver changes with the open top.
funny how Peugoet couldn't get their doors to close properly...
The open top cars are moving fast enough and have large enough aerodynamics packages that the rain is forced up and around the cockpit. On some of the very slowest corners they may get a little wet, but not much.
I've been looking for what the car was called, thank you. And Biodiesel loses power and torque but not economy; it would still tame the cars more for their petrol/ethonal friends.
hopefully other teams can follow suit. Pescarolo Sport are developing a new car with Lister, But I still can't say if its diesel. The Peugeot is a nice car, it reminds me of the Group C racers, while the R10 is a forgettable design. Too workmanlike. But hell, it wins.
Maybe it's the colour, but it looks fantastic when all three are formation flying. Go to 2:11 and put you hand over the Peugeots, and hopefully, you'll see what I mean. I will agree with you, I don't like the lights, and the Peugeot looks great..
your going to expect another diesel at le mans next year and its involved with WR and their car because i hope its powerful and fast but i hope its a front running car
Shame peugeot didnt come away with the win but they didnt seem to have the pace of the winning Audi. Bit more practice i reckon. Good for Aston Martin for finally beating the mighty corvettes though and getting the class win. I thought that race was better than Peugeot vs Audi one.
I´m from Oviedo, the city of Fernando Alonso and i think that if bourdais is in F1 he doesn´t have some much problems to win the championship. is one of the betters drivers in the world now. I think taht is better than most of the F1 drivers.
well as fari as what i saw from the start straight it was not wet had not rained for quite some time and it was just driver error. great video really shows all the things i could not see
He missed his 1st turn because he drove on a wet part of the track with slick tires.
Briatore doesn't want Bourdais because he's not his manager. Briatore only puts his pilots on the team (Fisico, Alonso, Kovalainen, etc.). This man is a business man. He thinks money first but doesn't give a shit about the rest. He gets a percentage by hiring pilots like Kova or Fisico (don't tell me that Fisico is better than Bourdais, this man is a shit driver), but would get no money by hiring Bourdais.
Everyone is thinking Bourdais is a god in France, look at his brilliant start!!! LOL, the track is totally dry he is not able to go straight. I agree with Briatore, if Bourdais is not in F1, it's not because of bad luck, it is just because he is not good enough...Champ Car is a middle class serie, beeing champion of it does not make you a big champion
Of all the motorsports I watch and enjoy the LeMans 24 Hours is by far my favorite motorpsort event.
