The pit fatality would be enhanced EVEN FURTHER if they continued to fall while they scream to their deaths and the spikes continued to cleanly slice the appendages off their bodies.

Or even better, body physics related where how they were hit will determine how they will fall and which part of the body gets hit first. MK has gotta keep up with the cartoony gore, what with the new tech.
