Oh my... I'm Portuguese and I simply love this pair :) His accent is comic but I have to admit it's one of the best tries I've seen. Portuguese is very complicate to learn for those who are not native so we've got to give him credit for it =D

Excellent job by the screenwriters to make the Colin Firth character sound like someone who gave his utmost to learn portuguese out of the country in such a short time. It ain't called talent - it's called love.

There are a few mistakes that Colin's character made because he learned just a little portuguese.

For example, when he said "eu sei que ser louco", the right way would be "eu sei que SOU louco". Or when he said "é claro que eu saber..." the right would be "é claro que eu SEI"
