Women-only health clubs are not about gender equality (obviously!), and there are plenty of them around. More public bathrooms for women than men is a good idea, but certainly not equal. Women do not (or at least should not) want equality. They want fairness. Men cannot join women's sports teams or join women's health clubs - that is not equal, but it's fair. Women want more toilets than men in public buildings - not equal, but fair. "Equality" is simply the wrong word here.

It was intended that one land-owning man on behalf of his family and estate, which would have included all the people under his employ and their families, was expected to consult everyone, and act as their representative with that one vote. What possible discrimination could you face? You're a women, and are draft exempt, and given impunity for all your transgressions. If you commit a crime, you will receive less time, if any. Affirmitive action makes it so employers will favor you for raises and promotions over men, just because of your gender. If you divorce, you will get the kids, even if you are a known child rapist. We are not the same physically men are genetically stronger just as how black people have genetically better calf muscles. Though I will agree that we are the same mentally. Any difference in tests can be mostly attributed to men being the ones who designed the test(they didn't purposefully make it that way [for example say a question had something to do about bales of hay, a farmer would be more likely to answer the question than someone who isn't due to knowing what a bale of hay is])

When you consider that the U.S. has still not ratified CEDAW (the United Nations' Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women), it's not surprising that we don't have an Equial Rights Amendment. I'm sorry to inform you that most men did not have the right to vote either. Non land owning males eventually gained the right.
The household was considered the nuclear unit not the individual. The man represented the needs and interests of the family. It was seen as one vote per household.
Now on to education: Women have always been given equal education but did not attend higher ed. It was seen that it was a man's job to work for her and bring her money, gifts, food, jewels, furs etc.

Understand that men and women did not represent themselves or their interests as an individual sex during these times.
It was just expected that the sexes were one and would work for their collective interests as a family together.
The male complimentary to female-- complimentary to male--bound by a sacred bond--that was complimentary to the family ethos was extended to our culture and politics.
Again women and men were not seen as separate with separate interests and in competition.

No, it's women's world, I'm afraid. Women have all the rights including draft exempt, overriding reproductive choice, right to impunity for fraudulent behaviors, right to slander and libel with full impunity, as in rape claims and DV claims. There are no DV shelters for men, only women. There is no VAMA, only a VAWA. It's obvious this is anything, but, a man's world. Women get 60% of college degrees and ~98% of all gender specific funding.

The ERA seems pretty unnecessary, since women are already treated equally under the law to my knowledge. The fact that they are given preference in divorce trials, labor laws, and even don't have to worry about being drafted shows that they might actually be treated superiorly.

Women do not (or at least should not) want equality. They want fairness. Men cannot join women's sports teams or join women's health clubs - that is not equal, but it's fair. Women want more toilets than men in public buildings - not equal, but fair. "Equality" is simply the wrong word here.

People don't tend to realize that the founders never intended everyone to have a vote, for themselves. It was intended that one land-owning man on behalf of his family and estate, which would have included all the people under his employ and their families, was expected to consult everyone, and act as their representative with that one vote. People should remember that the colonies were basically feudal, and the early US was not that different. 1 household, 1 vote.

What possible discrimination could you face? You're a women, and are draft exempt, and given impunity for all your transgressions. If you commit a crime, you will receive less time, if any. Affirmitive action makes it so employers will favor you for raises and promotions over men, just because of your gender. If you divorce, you will get the kids, even if you are a known child rapist. It's men, who are not equal.

We are not the same physically men are genetically stronger just as how black people have genetically better calf muscles. Though I will agree that we are the same mentally. Any difference in tests can be mostly attributed to men being the ones who designed the test(they didn't purposefully make it that way [for example say a question had something to do about bales of hay, a farmer would be more likely to answer the question than someone who isn't due to knowing what a bale of hay is])

When you consider that the U.S. has still not ratified CEDAW (the United Nations' Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women), it's not surprising that we don't have an Equial Rights Amendment. The U.S. is not nearly as progressive as it claims to be.
