  • To Anyone who is watching this. This live version sucks. Watch the live version from 1982, with the original band. It Rocks!

  • Simon looks like david cameron with an 80s haircut here

  • hate this valium version- warren sucks

  • Haha Simon's wearing the same clothes he used in the strange behavior tour.

  • @MrCapitalfinal This was during the Strange Behaviour tour.

  • Too bad for all the hairspray and fashion, they were a good band.

  • I think Simon has the lyrics right on. They are HIS lyrics since he was the artist who created the words to the song. 1987 for Duran just simply switching things up to make things interesting for the genre of pop music..

  • Simon fucks up more lyrics than anyone....it's just your job, you tool!

  • I watched this in my mates house when it went out live, it was quite late and last act on to finish the show..duranduran fan ever since.

  • Eventhough I am no great fan of of Duran Duran but this song ranks among the best ever songs to me.

  • I want Simon !!!!!!

  • Simons hair is a dream...love it!!!

  • hahah

  • nick looks sexxy here!! ;)

  • I thougt warren was a really good guitarist, and was not really thought of that well.

  • The drum sound is perfect , Steve Ferrone is an amazing drummer. i remember watching this on a Friday night in 1987, and then the repeat on Sunday lunchtime. This was Duran at their 2nd best!

  • Agreed, they should have had him from the start he's got such groove and presence- his kit sounds awesome- he was on Notorious album wasnt he ?

  • Yes he was, awesome drummer , went onto to tour with Eric Clapton for 10 years.

  • Steve Ferrone, he's got the style. But I still love Roger Taylor.

  • didnt spend too much time on the drum sound, but at least it is live! The first single from Astronaut, Sunrise, was pure Duran Duran and was brilliant. It was as if they had picked up from where they left off with View to a Kill. Then the rest of the album just was a totally different vein. And Red Carpet Massacre? A disaster.

  • No way! RCM is great! The best DD in years!! 'Falling Down' & 'Cry Baby Cry' are awsome!!

  • The best in years, may be, esp after some of the crap they have produced. However, as an album it is crap. There are two decent songs on it, but in general it sucks and it surely isnt DD.

  • Oh yeah, "Cry baby cry" is excellent !!!! For people who have the chance to have the bonus only made for japanese album...!

  • You should not comment on things you dont like.RCM and Astronaut are fantastic albums. Not just the song Sunrise, but the whole Astronaut album is great. You say things like that 'coz you dont value good music.

  • Ohh c'mon Lady, .... Cry Baby Cry is a thing, RCM is nothing.

  • Cry Baby is a thing! RCM is very fantastic, but I can't help to people who doesn't have taste in music.

  • Oh and please do me a favour and don't call me Lady, but call me Rose, since Lady isn't a name.

  • I remember watching this!! I was 15 - ah, the memories (some of them Careless!).

  • As if simons hair aint well good in this video?

    great song :)

  • I agree that the horns are completely misplaced in this song. Still, Simon sounds great here.

  • This is from when they were playing around with the arrangements of their older songs, bringing them into the funk world of the Notorious sound. I remember really liking the new sound live.

  • Duran always had their limits, but this is quality while.. good god "Red Carpet Massacre" is a Disaster! why cant duran go new wave again? Since its coming back anyway

  • "Red Carpet Massacre" is a Disaster

    Yup

  • What the!?!?!? Were they drinking?!?

  • Hi, great to hear it again. Ypu wouldn't happen to have Hungry like the Wolf which they played on the tube too? I f so could you post it. Thanks

  • I have Hungry Like The Wolf on The Tube.

  • Simon is 6'2", with the hair, 6'4", lol!

  • ooh! this is a funky version of new religion! <3 duran duran!!

  • That's not Andy is it? I knew Roger prettymuch was on hiatus at that time also.

  • No it is Warren.

  • The guy from Missing Person who steadily filled the spot for Andy for the DD album?

  • Indeed it is. He was actually a really good replacement for Andy. I wish they had him now even though this new album sounds like it is severely lacking with guitar.

  • I remember watching this show and thought this song was absolutely brilliantly done. I like the grittiness of it.. Sigh - those were the days..
