I am also sure that there is also some back-masking of messages. That's what makes the letter p in "Please don't be long" sound so strange on Blue Jay Way: it has a rolled r played backward on top of it. If you play Blue Jay Way backwards "Please don't be long" becomes "Paul is not here." I don't think that there was any real coverup of a real death of McCartney fatality, but I do think that the Beatles were yanking people's chains by putting stuff like that on their records.
The fact that the conspiracy-theorists went overboard doesn't mean that there aren't some real clues that support the Paul-is-dead claim. There definitely, very clearly, are backward messages on Beatles records starting with Blue Jay Way on the Magical Mystery Tour album. ULTRA-clear. The clues were put on the albums intentionally and then ultimately denied by the Beatles, perhaps because in the aftermath of Manson saying he ordered the slaughter of his victims because of "hidden messages" on Beatles albums, the Beatles didn't want to be vilified by the press & public, or sued by relatives of the victims of the Manson murders. If there was a ruse to conceal Paul's death to keep the money & fame going, why would the Beatles then sabotage their own ruse by giving out clues?

All one has to do is use a little common sense to know this thing is nothing but a hoax. What are the chances of finding a replacement as quickly as they did who 1) looks enough like Paul to look exactly like him after a few plastic sugeries and also 2) has a singing voice that sounds exactly like Paul's and also 3) was such a talented music writer he was able to form his own very successful band after the Beatles split? I'd say the chances are so astronomical that it didn't happen.

We are talking the mid Sixties here - rich or not, 'lefties' didn't just call up a manufacturer and get what they wanted (maybe these days they can). Paul had only bought that Martin D-28 a year before the Rishikesh trip (still uses it today in fact). Easier to take whats readily available and modify it. Can't speak for Hendrix, but he probably found the advantages of the 'top trem' only after the necessary expedient of having to use the available 'right hand only' Fender (as did Paul).

The clues were put on the albums intentionally and then ultimately denied by the Beatles, perhaps because in the aftermath of Manson saying he ordered the slaughter of his victims because of "hidden messages" on Beatles albums, the Beatles didn't want to be vilified by the press & public, or sued by relatives of the victims of the Manson murders. If there was a ruse to conceal Paul's death to keep the money & fame going, why would the Beatles then sabotage their own ruse by giving out clues?

Paul is a musical genius...one of four that comprised the Beatles. The only reason I can think they might cover it up would be so that he would have a chance to "rest in peace", on his own, out of the spotlight forever. That could almost be a parting gift. We are talking the mid Sixties here - rich or not, 'lefties' didn't just call up a manufacturer and get what they wanted (maybe these days they can). Paul had only bought that Martin D-28 a year before the Rishikesh trip (still uses it today in fact). Easier to take whats readily available and modify it. Can't speak for Hendrix, but he probably found the advantages of the 'top trem' only after the necessary expedient of having to use the available 'right hand only' Fender (as did Paul).

The 'I buried Paul' is supposedly at the end of 'Strawberry Fields', neither of which are really anything like what the PID theorists say they are when you listen to them.

@fighterpiolt1992 Nope. It was started by a student (Tom Zarski, of Eastern Michigan University) calling into the Russ Gibb show on WKNR in Detroit, MI. October 1969, citing an earlier college paper article by another student (Tim Harper, in the Drake Times, of Drake University in Des Moines, IA). A case of someone wanting their '15 minutes of fame' I think.
