I grew up on SPAM too. And yes, Hawaiians and Chamorrons (the culture and race of Guam) do use it in many of their dishes. They like to cook with it, and know how to make it very appetizing. I personally cut it up, throw it in a pan, and sear it till I get some good burnt spots, then eat it right out the pan. Now's the time for "CAUTION: HOT" but I'm a guy, and I'm an idiot. Heh heh.

It's shocking how so many people have never tried spam, spam is one of those foods I grew up on.

But yeah it's pretty horrible for you, not worth it when the stuff tastes so mediocre. It tastes kind of like Ham with the texture of a leather belt lol. I stopped eating the stuff when I started eating healthy. Spam tastes best fried with a side of mustard for dipping imo.

pinch of pepper

Fry spam in small amount of oil, stir in salsa,salt,and pepper. Serve hot on top of Over Easy eggs or scrambled and cheese.... Enjoy :D
