This is a perfect example of an amazing Athlete who was pushed over the edge. As a Coach, I am all about pushing Hockey Players to achieve Greatness, but there comes a time when you need to ease off the gas and let the KIDS have fun. Coaches and Parents need to understand that not every kid is going to be in the NHL. If your son or daughter loves Hockey, allow them to develop that skill on their OWN. All you have to do is provide the ride to the park or the rink and they will figure it out.

@kodiaksioux, This is a sad story, but I understand what is like to have a parent and coach who do not know when to quit. I was pushed over the edge at a very young age, and as an adult I completely lost my mind; attempting suicide in Nov 2004. When I found Jesus Christ he saved my soul and gave me another reason to live. For the rest of my life will do my best to Coach the sport, not to Coach passion. Passion can grow on it's own.
