I saw the apology video the girls made. I accept their apology and we should all forgive them for what they've done and be mature but that is your decision.
Gaining green card is not as easy as how most Americans think, just like you said. It is expensive as well very time consuming process before you are granted that resident alien status. Becoming an American from that takes even harder and more painful, not to mention another expensive years, believe me... Worth every bit but very very hard under current law.
I married my American husband myself and had to go through what most will call it a nightmarish experience dealing with the Immigration and the State dept, that I can see clearly what most cannot even begin to imagine. So thank you again for helping others to gain deeper understanding on this complex and delicate immigration issues.
