  • I cant believe how many so called TT owners think the 180 only comes in fwd. They came in quattro too. Im not sure bout the 150 tho they might only be fwd, to be honest ive only seen them in fwd roadster form. Gotta love VAG :0)

  • Idiots the vr6 is a 12valve in the mk3 and the 4 motion mk4 is a 24v aswell as the r32

  • i personally am not a big fan of the VR6. The older ones have ~173hp, but the newer ones have ~200hp. but, older has ~177lb-ft, newer ~190lb-ft. my V6(2.8L 30valve) ~190hp, ~206lb-ft. top speed governer on both i belive, but mine gets there faster. :P

  • Doesn't matter weather it's a 180 hp TT, the Golf mk 3 VR6 has only 174 hp coming out of 2700 cmc.

  • vr6 should have no chance...

  • That TT and Golf do not share the same engine, the Golf is a 2.8L VR6 and the TT is a 1.8L turbo

  • Hey retard, thats an old TT, put it up against the current 3.2L Mk2's

  • so... well... put it against a lambo reventon and you will see who wins!! yeah!! lambo is the best da world eva!!!!!!!

    LOOOOOOL :D

  • Hey "Themessenjha07 " I guess you don't know much out Audi and VW.. 1st off the companies are one in the same and 2ndly how can audi do it better when the TT and the golf share the same engine?!? The only difference is the audi has a better launch cause of the 4 wheel drive.

  • Hey ciza2, just wanted to tell you that your wrong. First of all that audi wasn't a quattro (one exhuast pipe) so it was a 180 hp, not 225 hp. Second of all there not the same company, or they would have the same cars, names, prices...And lastly being a tt owner myself it would blow any golf out of the water

  • you are correct with the engines, for some reason i though both cars were running 1.8t's and yes a golf vs a tt both running 1.8t's the audi would win due to less wind resistance and better power to weight ratio. But Audi and VW are one in the same, hence why it's called VAG (the vw audi group) Just the same way sunfires and cavaliers are both "j-body" cars from pontiac and chevy, but both are owned by "GM" Same frame and engine its a way for companies to save production costs by sharing parts.

  • ya people say they are the same car but in all means they absolutely not. They share the same chassis and engine, however all other parts differ (aka. trans, suspension, the killer ESP, interior, luxury accessories =))

  • Ya the luxury accessories and the transmissions are different, but many of the parts found in the TT are sourced from the R32 and vice versa. They are two very distinctively different looking cars, that are clearly targeted towards two different audiences, but when you break it down, and look past the exterior, they are more alike than different.

  • it dosnt matter if it had 1 exhoust or not, get ur facts streight dude... there are non quattro 180 hp and there is 225 quattro and then 250 quattro.. get your facts streight

  • chill out man and it's straight not streight. But anyways, like you I own a TT as well, it's an 03' Quattro and it does matter, one exhaust pipe= 180 hp not quattro, 2 exhaust pipes is 225 hp Quattro, or a 250 hp Quattro sport (which is very rare in the states)

  • 180 hp there are 2 versions

one is quattro and on is not

  • hahah put it up to a VR in a straight quarter mile from a dead stop

being the owner of a VR jetta

your TT can blow my VW

  • (VW) POWER

  • ok vl hat der TT bessere start.. aber dafür zieht der golf besser :D
