Nice - I like the tree faucet.. think I may borrow the idea. :) Also, any concerns about using the water for hand washing, dish washing, etc. I'd like to harvest rainwater from our cabin roof but I'm not sure of the best way to filter it. I'm worried about bacteria (bird droppings, etc) combined with standing water. Do you plan on filtering the bigger tank once it's installed? Cheers
our cistern / collector is about 30 feet higher than our spicket, we use 5/8s garden hose to gravity feed the 130 feet to the cabin, we reduced it down to 3/8s hose and are getting amazing pressure with improved efficiency.... your cistern is going to be awesome! A simple 5 gallon bucket filled with layers of activated charcoal and sand should make it quite potable and super safe with an additional Britta filter... great idea, thanks!
