WIC is the BIGGEST supporter in breastfeeding and offer free breastfeeding counselling and lactation consultants to help you and mine even gave me her CELL number so I can reach her 24/7 if I have any problems. Anyone out there who is against WIC, maybe you should know what the program is about before talking bad about it.

Wic is also amazing for women that do choose to breastfeed because they offer a free breastfeeding class and they also loan you a hospital grade breast pump to use. It's not like its food stamps you don't get to go buy a bunch of junk food and crap with it you just get the basics, if it wasn't for the wic program I wouldn't have enough milk and cheese to get through the month.

I'm on WIC and am most def not a bumb. I work 35+ hours a week and have a degree. It's just hard to find a good job for some reason. But I really do appreciate the program and they are the ones who made me make the decision to breast feed. I really appreciate this video. I had no idea that people had negative thoughts about the program. Personally I give them 2 thumbs up for their educating me and helping me.
OK mama, I got another question for u. I just got my wic vouchers today, and they give me 4 gallons of milk and also 3 quarts of milk for this month...I am the ONLY one in my house that drinks milk and that is gonna go to waste! Do they let u substitute for other items, or do I just give away the extra? I drink milk every day but 4 gallons and 3 quarts is not gonna go to use in 1 month!
Anything is looked at as a crime, But I dont sell my coupons or sell my formula, if someone needs formula and I happen to have enough I'll give it to them, My friend and I do that when we are in need, I don't see anything wrong with that. and giving somone your breastmilk isn't bad either. If I knew someone that was able to give me breastmilk I would prefer that. I didn't think a person could sell their coupons since their name is on it. Why are you asking?
Maybe it is just the environment we are in and where I come from, but I have never heard anything bad about the program. When we moved to where we currently live, we got the "new" program, and were on the old program at our old place. It wasn't great back then, but the milk ALONE is worth it!! And, I cannot imagine being ashamed for being on the program.
We are a military family...and we are on WIC. Maybe the government should pay us more!

There was a 3 month period in our lives that the program was a stress reliever. When you have a lot of stressers in life knowing your family is going to be fed takes a lot of stress off of a family.
I love this program because there's a lot of young teen moms out there that can't afford formula or need guidance on raising a baby and it does help a lot and does relief stress. sometimes its hard and stressful when thinking about money babies and bills.
