1-Yes it's a kind of dyno, in fact it's more like a moving resistance or a load.

2-There's probably no connection nor any need for it:

The swing arm seems to be linked to a mechanical safety to prevent the bike to fall further back ;-)

BTW I'm able to explain the different meanings of throttle in five languages,

including being the right handle bar twisting command on a bike. You're welcome "Doc" ;-)

This machine is amazing....but in all honesty - if this guy would've tried this on the street on a motorcycle, I think he would've crashed immediately. He brings it up too high, too quickly, slams the front end down, and maintains terrible body posture.
