  • utah had a better chance to win a title with eaton, stockton, and malone in 1988 than in 1997 and 1998 when they did go to the finals

  • nonplayer...was #54 of the Jazz "Dinner Bell" Mel Turpin himself??? I thought he had eaten himself out of the league by '88. What a waste of talent

  • Thanks for the memories!...AWSOME!!

  • I love these old games! Byron Scott is my favorite Laker of all time!

  • wow what an amazingly bad charging call

  • Old jazz uniforms and the Salt Palace...childhood memories of Utah.

  • Happy New Year 1988 everybody, the Lakers are playing great this year.

  • Happy New Year 1988 everybody!!! Cheers.

  • Mark Eaton could touch the rim without jumping. Seriously. Listed at 7'3 3/4" (or 7'4" depending on which magazine you read) with the reach of a man 8 feet tall. He blocked innumerable shots, many without having to jump. Will forever be remembered, by me at least, as the guy Abdul-Jabbar sky-hooked over to surpass Chamberlain.

  • What a game. The Lakers' ball movement was amazing.

  • Kids listen to Chick at 1.54...that's how the NBA was played back in it's glory days...long live the 80s and 90s!
