Yes! I discovered her facebook this morning and left her a message on it. Also discovered she was back home in singapore in feb for an award-but it was organised by Suria and, i believe the english press was clueless. how annoying! She has the voice to best the likes of julie london. I paid $40 last year for a record i found of hers in an old shop. Felt the pinch -since we're in recession but anything to save it from disappearing. Are you Singaporean? How did you get to know her voice? smiles.

Thank you for posting these. I have a lasting memory of Kartina singing white christmas on black and white tv. Every time I think christmas, I think of her. How is she? Can someone work on reissuing her recordings? soon?

Thank you and Happy New Year to you too. Indeed Kartina is one of those special eternally everlasting evergreen singer. She is well and lives in London now and touches base with her fans via her Facebook. All her kroncong songs have been reissued in CD format but so far none of her English recordings has been. Do enjoy the songs on this channel.
