I know what it is to have someone drop stuff out a window without checking. In 91, I got a sheet of plywood dropped on my head. Glad I had my helmet on.
It's not really the fact that it's insulation. It could have been somethin else. Somethin heavy that could have hurt someone and the dude just needs to get in the habit of yelling ALL CLEAR or just lookin before he starts flingin shit out a window!
Considering that Battalion Chief John Tippitt, project manager for the National Fire Fighter Near-Miss Reporting System considers this a near miss from his own department, I guess you guys know more than him. Yeah, right.
Whatta dick! Way to look out for your fellow FFs and why didnt any of the firefighters standing around rehabbing start yelling to tell them to wait..or at least warn the people throwing the ladder that some tool was about to throw debris on them... gotta love the guy in the white helmet with his hands out at the end, if only I could hear what he said lol.
u crawl ur ass into a burning building . u always cant look atround obv he needed to get that insulation out of the way he prolly didnt look but think of all the shit running thrrew his mind at that point
Hmmmm... inside what was (atleast) a working dwelling... throwing out burned toxic materials and NOT wearing his SCBA (mask alone does you no good). Smart. Real smart. To say nothing of 'dumping' it on the FFs below.
Ya, i would have had the same reaction the guy on the right did after they dropped it.
