This scene like every other added scene in the unrated version ruins the tone of the movie and makes it creepy. The reason this scene is funny in the theatrical cut is that they don't realize what kind of motel they're in. Lloyd being so aggressively perverted in this scene is also out of character and spoils his naivety.
