  • beautiful. Like dark chocolate and silk.

  • @capitanzach Thats the perfect description :)

  • great song for whistling!

  • good cover but I can never get past the memory of my first time listening to edith piaf. so classic and beautiful!

  • I just...words can't even describe how wonderful this is-3

  • this is the kind of music we need, not some beyonshit music.

  • OMG is so beautiful :D

  • I'm listening to this in loop....since hours.....loved it from the 1st note.

  • Time for me to melt into oblivion, rise like billowy smoke, become just one little note on the piano finishing up the tune...ah, too much! What honey!

  • she sings it so sexy.

  • Superb. Perfect for a wedding song. WVL

  • Lovely, strong, velvety. An excellent cover. It feels like La Vie en Rose itself is there, without ignoring the modern jazz smoothly mixed in. Just lovely.

  • C'est la vie, la vie en rose <3 sigh.... in love with life and myself.

  • LORD, that's glorious!! Wow. Blown away. Thank you for posting this cover.

  • @Criterz Check your email! Best wishes!!

  • @IrinaBulici OK thx, it would be great if u could email it to me,m if u do i will be forever gratefull:P

  • heyy does anyone here have the piano sheet music for these song?

  • Best Small Group Version. Hands down..........

  • Superb performance. This is my favorite version with soothing song rendition and perfect musical arrangement. Sophie Milman's cover is the best. WVL

  • She is beautifoul,awesome voice,deep soul...what else?

  • what a bitch...

  • Long live Edith Piaff!

  • this + rainymood = win

  • c'est bien c'est tres gentile

  • this is the nicest version i feel

  • Sophie's singing just oozes with feeling. She gives so much life and meaning to this classic song of love and life. LUV her.

  • Edith Piaf's version was still way better

  • Takes me back to Rome, a girl and old memories.....

  • @voiceofelijah2012 Hahaha, everyone thinks of Paris, but YOU think of Rome ^^ :)

  • A classic.

  • beautiful and a passable french to boot.

  • cette fille a une quelque chose, q'je ne sais qoi. it's called the it factor. first time i hear her sing. she's not common. and she does different things with her voice...it doesn't just sit there and hit notes. unlike the Julie Phillippe girl...she has a pretty voice but sings too high through out.

so yeah... wow to this chick. tres bien!

  • Just wonderful....

  • i NEED the sheet music for the piano and sax in this song. does anyone know if it's available?

  • @Queen0fDaW0rld

EMMA! HI! IM LOOKING FOR IT! :P

  • @Queen0fDaW0rld i know her brother. ill check.

  • @ItHappens117 really?!

  • @Queen0fDaW0rld yeah, i havent asked yet tho

  • Superb singer, really classic song, and perfect musical arrangement. This is my favorite song. I love it. WVL

  • 11 idiots that have no good taste of music...

  • 11. idiots

  • She has such a great voice and sings very well, but the original remains unhit and sprays in every word the charm of France and especially from Paris.

  • El acompañamiento es increible!!

  • perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love this!

  • yes to this excellent singer and not ruining this classic.sophie ********

  • sweet

  • In my opinion the best cover of this song i have chance to hear.Sophie you are great!

  • She's Russian born, grew up in Israel and lives in Canada. What does nationality mean these days anyway? It's just a passport, easy to change. To me, she's Jewish and that's the answer to the question, 'What's her background, what's her heritage?'

  • Lovely!!! such a voice!

  • La Vie en Rose - an Edith Piaf original... but how can you NOT love this song? It's brilliantly crafted!

  • I adore this song...it's just perfect with her voice and style. She definitely does it justice!!!

  • omg im in love

  • This song is wonderful!!

  • Correcting (song)

  • I like that won

  • @sakalakataka7 correcting (you) i like that one

  • She has voice better than many people have. And that's OK! How can she be compared with Edith though. Comments here are placed by hipocrats or just very ordinary people without taste and understanding what real beauty is. Gray ordinary shadows who unfortunately cannot or ain't able to tell the truth. Sad! But... that is what happened with world - gray mass rule the world.

  • beautiful voice! i think Edith would have approved of such a great rendition!

  • @JaiBlaze No, Edith would had not approved this , cause it is not deep and outstanding like it should be. Every average singer can do that even better. So NO! No way to approve it by Edith. Sorry for you have no taste. Not mine fault, ask god!

  • @Search1110 everyone's got their own opinions, mine is mine and yours is yours, no reason to be immature, just speak your peace and be on your way.

  • @JaiBlaze Agreed. None so much aggression should have been in reply though.

  • Her voice reminds me of the one of marilyn monroe it's marvelous!

  • nice version. she has the right voice for the song, expressive, layered and lush, full of character..and a bit melancholic and bittersweet..

  • @SugarKatie My feelings exactly! You have a good ear and a fine way of expressing yourself.

  • dreamlike beautiful!

  • very good version

  • it's like chocolate

  • Born in Russia, raised in Israël and live in Toronto, Canada now

  • great ! this jazz version rules ! love it

we did our version of "la vie en rose" and ll be pleased if you discover it on our page^^

    cheers

  • De mis versiones favoritas!! :)

  • tres tres romantic

  • Tres agréable à écouter

  • Very, very nice!

  • Excellent in every way.

  • this version too is nice.....

  • i wish i knew french...

  • its not Piaf =) but its nice.

  • Edith's rendition was a fav of mine many years ago. Sophie most assuredly does justice to Edith's memory. Lovely.

  • tres sexy!

Increible. Sin palabras.

  • love this..so beautiful...

  • magnifique!

  • WOW!!

  • agreed

  • Love it! Beautiful and classy. But then again, this song is absolute perfection to begin with!

  • Excellent job, after all the recent trash around this song. Will certainly look out for this singer from now on.Arrangement is good too:) Notis 1956

  • if you like this tune, you should check out Nataly Dawns version of this classic. just search pamplamoose and the name of this tune in here. its beautiful!

  • Yikes! and Double Yikes!....Class. Oh!, and Double Class.....Classic. And here I thought everyone that could sing and arrange this song had done it. This is outstanding.....

  • bonita voz!!

  • Glorious sultry interpretation

  • bravissima!!!

  • nice!

  • encantadora!!!!!

  • 5/5 best way to tell this well love

  • I like Sophie's version of this song better

  • Great sultry and soulful voice!!

  • j'adore cette version !!!

  • she's trurly amazing! awesome !

  • excelente ...

  • great song! i love her voice

  • I love her, stop. With or without voice :-)

  • Actually she is jewish. She moved to Israel from Russia with her parents and then to Canada at the age of 15. She is a full time student in Montreal.

  • gosh, she had quite a busy life xD

  • No she's at the University of Toronto

  • Not a bad version, but I rather like Edith Piaf's original better...Sophie's voice is a bit stronger than I'm accustomed to.

  • she's got a great french pronunciation because she spent most of her life in canada.

  • Most Canadians can't speak french (or not very well at all).

  • It's funny because it's true. (Although speaking for myself, as a Canadian, I can speak it very well)

  • brava!

  • Fabulous and gorgeous!

  • So charming

  • what a great voice and singing

    "from russia with love"

  • Her French pronunciation and her singing are great! wolf1750

  • A beautiful voice!!

  • she's fantastic !!!!

  • This delightful talent is amazing...I just happened to hear on an FM station. Russian, and jazz singer? Incongruent, but special.

  • Born in Russia, Jewish origins.

  • not as incongruent as you might think...

russians have their own type of jazz music, their odessa music...and it was done long before jazz even existed...

  • For what it's worth, Sophie said that she was weaned on American jazz -- Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald and the like. Her dad's collection of American jazz albums was one of the few things they were able to keep in the move from Russia to Israel.

  • I had no idea. Thanks for the information. I will be on the look-out for more of such music and explanations.
