  • Mental illness is not so bad, the identity as mentally ill is much worse.

    thats gay....

  • @TheCameoAfro1 cunt

  • @TheCameoAfro1 most homophobes are people with something to hide, are you insecure about something. Tosser.

  • I know what he means when you tell someone your schizo and their jaw drops. The first time (and last) I've told someone they yelled OMG YOUR SCHIZOPHRENIC??????!!!??? and turned around real quick and then turned to her friend and looked back at me with her jaw still dropped and then turned around again and she had fear on her face and I felt like I just admitted to a murder or something. So now I keep it as a secret ... well to people I know atleast- I'll talk about it online cuz I dont know u

  • @spekledworf what a freak to react that way.. I found out one of my friends was schizophrenic and i tried to help her (she was unmedicated and i did learn about it the hard way though O_O)

  • @spekledworf Thats horrible how they reacted towards you. But you have to remember that your not the only one, people react in different ways where as one person can be really caring and supportive the other can be just as you said above But thankfully we now have the time to change campaign & hopefully it will eventually break the stigma and people will start understanding more about mental health issues.

  • You seem a really nice person. It is the illness that is horrible and misunderstood. Well done, your courage is commendable for doing this and thank you.

  • Read Explaining colours to a blind man. Not only will it enlighten many as to what living with a mental illness is like, it also gives comfort to those sufferers who think there is no hope and that they are alone. It is very informative, sometimes shocking but also very funny in parts. All in all, a good read and highly recommended.

  • This is great!

  • "Cause I'm a complete wuss", of course you are. A "Schizophrenic", that is, anybody holding that diagnosis, is 14 times less likely to commit a violent act than to be a victim of one.

  • Stevie well done you for a frank and honest account of what schizophrenia really means...all power to you!

  • Great stuff Steve, thanks.
