Troy I suppose you and your Mom know that one of Don,s old cars is still here on the Island.If not I thought you should know. Also Troy Cecil McEachern is the only regular Messer member alive I beleive and lives here on the Island.Had the pleasure of doing a couple of tunes withn him not that long ago. You would think it was Don himself playing.
my parents used to put on don messer when they wanted to see me dance around in circles. it was automatic. soon as i heard him fiddling my body started moving.
Just finished viewing item regarding Don Messer..now perhaps do one on the more colorful regular of the show, Charlie Chamberlain , whom was a friend of my grand-parents in BELLEDUNE loved my grand-mother's home-made butter and buttermilk. Always a tale or told when he visited.
I remember Saturday evening and watching Don Messer's Jubilee. Mostly because it was the best of the only 2 choices (channels) available. Good memories still.
