Don't you think that there is a possibility that this is a visual illusion that all people can experience? If your eye can see it, that means that it is visual light so a camera should also be able to pick it up. Try taking a photo of it with a REGULAR camera...

I have seen auras... Ive seen people and animals auras... But Ive noticed that about 75% of all auras I see are green... @khalilahinjapan well that depends on the person, it can be easyer eather way. but colors can be easyer seen in a white backround i think. but then a dark backround is better fore seeing darker colors like the purple and black auras. blue yellow and green are the eaziest to see in low to normal light conditinos..

it takes practice. start from looking at edge of your fingers. on my earliest tries, I can see white colored dots moving on the edge of my hand/fingers. some time later, I can see colors. then years later... I can finally see my hand glow, the colors varies.
Everything takes practice. You must be VERY GIFTED if you can do it at first and few tries.

Do you need to be in a light area to see? or can the "black background" be total darkness? I only ask because she says blind people can see them and I don't understand how this would work. I always see a light blue and I draw the hand away then I see the idol of the hand still there and never in any other colour so that seems pretty much an illusion of the eyes exactly as okashi put it.

yes white surface is better. Red is normal dont worry.. normal human conscious state is red, beginning to raise awareness will be orange, slightly tuned in is yellow.. if you see purple then i wont need to tell you much because you are already well developed mind. This is when you stare directly at something for long enough and then you see the opposite colors or negative images of the shape you were looking at because staring at one color for an extended period will fatigue the eyes' rods and cones. look up on google about wat each colour respresents. if u do it in the mirroe u should be able to see the overall colour that stands out the most. try it.

I see a gray outline of my hand, the outline is still, it doesn't really look as if it were ripples in the water. I'm not sure if that's right.

What she describe is an optical illusion...
I for example (I'm epileptic) can't stare at white on black tartan, it vibrates to much and blinds me, even the pattern being at about 10 meters, it fills my field of vision... The same phenomenon happens sometimes when you look at fast moving contrasted vertical lines or white crossing lines on a black background...
Our only auras are thermal and electrostatic, and eyes are not equiped to see those...

Guys, that is not your aura, it is heat and humidity being put off by your body. As it hits the air around you it causes heat waves to be seen using the technique noted.
Here, prove it to yourself. Put 1 of your finger within 1/8 inch of a pane of window glass. Cold glass works better. Within seconds you will note that your finger/hand is fogging up the glass even if you hold your breath while doing it.

Claiming to see auras would be such a testable phenomena (Kiliran photography can be explained by natural means). Many people refuse to be challenged on the grounds that money isn't important to their higher pursuits. I don't know about the technique she's talking about, but we do have a bio-energy field and anciently they call it an aura. I have a friend who is a well known doc. in Utah. He was 17 before he realized that NOT everyone could see auras and their colors.I also have a co worker who has 10 and 12 year old nieces who can see auras as well.Its sad because it has freaked the parents out so badly they are suppressing the children about it. It's a gift of the spirit and sad that they don't understand.

I found doing it just after sunset on a beach was the most powerful time I ever saw auras & it was a much bigger field than normal & yes,I was already in a mediative state at the time,so my physical eyes where vagued out while my 3rd eye [everyone's 3rd exists on I divine plane so can't b tampered with by low or negative forms of consciousness] was open,or rather,my consciousness was aware of my 3rd eye's presence

it takes practice. start from looking at edge of your fingers. on my earliest tries, I can see white colored dots moving on the edge of my hand/fingers. some time later, I can see colors. then years later... I can finally see my hand glow, the colors varies.
Everything takes practice. You must be VERY GIFTED if you can do it at first and few tries.

Do you need to be in a light area to see? or can the "black background" be total darkness? I only ask because she says blind people can see them and I don't understand how this would work. You said that it would take a while to see rainbows and colors i the auras, A couple of times after i used that excersize, i started to look at people, lik my mom, and my dad. I stared at the third eye for about 30 seconds and i could see brilliant light coming from them. Some were red, and purple from my mom but more blues, and from my dad, more grey colors, and lots of white and sulfer. Could this mean something?

Lots of people who used to be able to see a bit of this stuff did so as kids, but fell out of practice for fear of repercussions or because too much was made of it. It's easier for these people to get back 'in shape,' but it can be harder for others without any experience or memory of it.
Try doing some people watching in moderate to low lighting conditions. And, especially if you get results, treat it like regular exercise and don't let up on it or you'll lose what progress you make.

There is a way that I see auras. I would be bored and falling asleep during a long speech. After 1 hour, I noticed shadowy energy coming off of people especially the speaker. Sleep depravation proved to me a skeptic that Auras exist. I do not recommend anyone to try my technique. I like Rev Montford's technique.

Yea I had a similar experience, i had my aura read at a fair with one of the machines that takes pictures of it. Afterwards I was able to see auras at will, but not anymore since I haven't really practiced. Really want to start seeing them again, it was neat.

yes white surface is better. Red is normal dont worry.. normal human conscious state is red, beginning to raise awareness will be orange, slightly tuned in is yellow.. if you see purple then i wont need to tell you much because you are already well developed mind. If you wish to increase this ability and also raise the color to a higher state then practise stilling the mind.. the more still the more well you will see

I don't mean to sound like a skeptic, because I am interested in auras, but this sounds a lot like after images to me. This is when you stare directly at something for long enough and then you see the opposite colors or negative images of the shape you were looking at because staring at one color for an extended period will fatigue the eyes' rods and cones. For example, if you stare at a red star for a long time, then look slightly away, you'll see a green star. Just wondering.

I like science and I like assertions that can be backed up by it. If you haven't already, you might want to check out the work done by quantum physicist Dr Gregg Braden.
