  • Does your hair have to be wet to roller set it???

  • Yes ^^

  • oops. Sorry. I just saw someone ask you the same question. I don't ever see any at sally's. Humm... Did they discontinue or something :)

  • Where did you get your rollers? I used pink jumbo snap on rollers from walgreens online but I need bigger snap on rollers like yours. Couldn't find them in any of the stores I went in nor have I found any that big online. By the way I love the how soft and curly your hair came out. I tried a roller set but didn't have a flat iron to flat iron afterwards so I styled it curly :)

  • how did you transition? did you wear braids? because I tried once and my hair seemed to come out because I didn't cut the hair off

  • wut stuff were u putting in ur hair?

  • Canit wait to see the finish.

  • Great hair! Can you please tell me the name of the Luv? Liv? and CHI product? I can't really seem them clearly.

  • Thanks for posting this video. I was amazed that a roller set would straighten kinky/coily hair. I tried this method last night and was very pleased with the results. I'm no longer afraid to flat iron my hair!

  • Yay! I'm glad it worked for you!<33

  • How long did you dry the rollers?

  • I was under the pibbs for about 1.5 hrs.

  • Wow! Great job on the roller set. The sectioning of the hair is perfect! And the wind-up is really great too. Very smooth. You're a professional!

  • Thank you so much!

  • What is the name of the first song playing (before take a bow)?

  • beyonce- new shoes

  • Was your hair really dripping wet? It looked like it was starting to dry.

My hair when wet is an afro (like a boys) so how may I roll it? Dont I have to blow dry it 1st then roll it?

    Thx.

  • I rollerset my hair when its dripping wet. Never tried it after dry though...

I would think I would get it straight first by blow drying and then flatironing then curling... hmm maybe I'll try that next time...lol

  • mara: Im unable 2 roll when wet. When wet my hair is a short afro. When I blowdry(bowFRY, lol) it is stretched.straighter. I dont want to then hot comb(yes I still use a hot comb) it bc isnt all that heat bad 4 the hair shaft?

    What do u suggest?

    Thx.

  • Yea using a lot of heat can be bad. Use it in moderation. You could try stretching the hair first by banding. Sometimes I would comb it all back into a ponytail, let it dry with a scarf on to keep flat, then flat iron. That worked when my hair was shorter.

But still, it takes practice, took me a while to learn and I still don't have it perfect.

  • u remind me of lisa bonet a lil. btw ur hurr is so faboo!!! nice & thick n long ! stay natural!

  • Thank you!<3

  • momo: I think she looks similiar 2 Persia White ( Lyn Searcy on Girlfriends ).

  • what hair typr do you have 4b?

  • I would say 3c/4a...

  • have u always been natural? if not how long have u been and how long did u transition? sorry for all the questions im jus so obsessed your hair is beautiful and i jus did my BC

  • hey, great video... what brand of rollers did you use?

  • if i airdry, will i get the same results?

  • If u airdry after u rollerset it will come out fine if not better as long as it is completely dry when the rollers come out... I couldnt do it though, it would take like 3 days to dry...O.o

  • I have that same Brush! Great vid. thanx.

  • Thanks for watching!<3

  • Thank you!<3

  • Did you do this on blow dried hair?

  • Dripping wet, freshly washed hair.

  • I wish I knew how to roller set, my transitioning would not be nearly as hard! I was to lazy to learn so I broke down and bought curlformers....o well. Great tutorial.

  • I was tempted to try curlformers but I said no I can get similar results w/ flexirods and curlers.

  • I bought the CF and returned them the next week or so. It was so painful for me and too darn expensive

  • This looked really easy with you doing it. Was it because it was sped up??

Great vid!! I've been waiting on it.

  • That might be why...

    Thanks!<3

  • Great video! I love rollersets, they are a great way to stretch the hair w/o using any direct heat...I used to rollerset all the time when I was relaxed, so I one day I was like, let me try these on my natural hair, an I'm glad I did 5 stars :-)

  • Thanks, I think I will wear them more often. Haven't done one in over a year.:)

  • My GOSH...I soooooooooo love your vids!!!
