What a peculiar and interesting movement. The harmonies and colouring/timbre aren't like anything if have heard in a violin sonata.

And that theme... I don't know, I find it quite bizarre. But I love it, oh I love it so much!

Very apt choice of images for this movement, which to my ears resembles the "Idyll Sonata" in mood. This is by far the most difficult to sustain musically, to keep that easygoing tripping along. They do a fine job of it.
