Holy crap, I meant the GNX Workstations are ultimate, but i am using this frustrating pointer on a laptop. GNX Genetic amp simulation & the best presets i have ever experienced &.... Ya Ya, stompbox mode(tube screamer), Tap delay, Pro Tracks +,... Its worth the money to spend the 300 for endless happiness.

I'm definately lovin your choice of study, but even know that little petty peddle pulls it off, The GFX workstations are the Baddest, especially in aspects like expression peddle & amp warping. But I can say that talk box will never pull off a vocoder or 'T-pain' pitch shifting effect that can be done on Digitech advance floor boards, costing you 300 bills for happiness for that point on... If you spend the 300, Line6 has good stations too.

Excuse my noobish self, but this thing is basically a whole lot of pedals (i.e. wah, distortion, delay, chorus, flanger) only it all comes in one package? And then it is channeled through to the amp, correct? If I'm right, you'd think people would get rid of single stomp boxes if you have one of these (unless you can't mix the effects).

yes you are correct. the reason people wouldnt get rid of their stomp boxes is because people tend to prefer it straight into amps and tube amps. most people prefer analog over digital and let me just say that analog is usually best but if your low on money like i was, this is a pretty good deal. if you can get a line6 pod though, i would recommend that instead.

I have this thing too... its really cool, except for the browsing trough effects. There is also the USB port, but I cant seem to run the software. What can I do with the software anyway?? I don't really understand that par. I got it without box and booklet anyway..

as for recording the guitar. plug the usb port in and let it install. i use a program called "reaper" for recording my guitar. i believe you can use audacity. its free.

i think the whammy on the rp250 is good, but not as strong and doesnt have quite a punch as the whammy pedal. but i wouldnt shell out 200 bucks for it, so if you have the money and really, really want that pedal, go for it. i cant find anything i would really use that effect for =/

It accounts for the impendence of the mixer or that of your amp, when you switch the button. Never mind the technical details, but the sound of your guitar (and the applied effects) will be better preserved when you switch the button appropriately
