Yeah, I like the picking version better too. I wasn't able to learn it fast enough for this performance and I wanted to focus on the vocals (as you said, they were still a bit shaky). Thanks for the props!
I might be doing the open mic thingy this Monday! :D I've never really performed for an audience though- well not strangers, at least. I'm pretty excited! :)
Thanks! Yeah it can be nerve wracking to sing at open mic like that but it's a lot of fun to go for it, I wish you luck. This whole song was done with just two chords. starting from the lower E (as in low sound) EADGBE the tab for the first chord is 022033 and then 032030 you just play those two chords over and over varying your speed and which strings you hit for accent. I expect a video of you now!
your comment got me excited about this song again so I just replayed it in a slower pace with clear vocals (no coffee shop noise this time) and at the end I showed my fingering for you - just search through my other videos, I have on a light blue shirt :D
