That's probably why they aren't as popular anymore. Most people prefer the crying emo songs where they shit themselves in a corner and cry about how their life sucks because they dropped their ice cream cone on the pavement so they're going to go home and cut themselves over it and make a screaming song about how their life sucks. That's basically all I see and hear nowadays. Bon Jovi is a fresh breath of air.

I think u have the wrong idea about emos....they don't necessarily cut themselves (those are cutters) and the word came from 'emotional'.I can't believe that in today's society pple get all wrong ideas just cuz they never learned how to feel and don't show their feelings anymore. That's y emos exist: because they just get sick of everyday ignorance. They don't have to dresss or act emo to b emo....but listening to a band like Bon Jovi would help all of them...

its like yes they go thru a tough time which sucks, but then the next day they come to school in a complete makeover.

i say that if you have emo-like tendencies then you are a legit emo; if you already are into some of the stereotypes like the bright multi coloured checkered accessories, all black, emo bangs, heavy black eyeliner, etc, then by all means go all the way. but if you just decide one day to become emo - ur insulting the legit ones
