Yes I did see that Aflac lost money in the euro debt crisis. Although the company lost money, Aflac is an extremely financially strong company and the majority of its income is earned through sound investments.

I see Aflac being among the longest surviving companies as this global debt crisis plays out. I agree that the debt is unlikely to be repaid. Although, income protection is key right now. Why? Gold and silver cannot always pay you when you need it, and they cost a lot more money. Right?

The entire world economies are tied to this amount of money which will NEVER be paid back. When they collapse, AFLAC is just another player that will collapse along with all of us. Looks like aflac just lost 610 million to the euro crisis. There will be no 'protection of income'. one can better protect his own income by buying gold or silver.
