Looks pretty badass. Graphics and gameplay in general are good, they stayed true to the fighting style of previous DMC games. I only wish they didn't reboot Dante to the point where his hair is white.
if u do the math by looking at the LIKE/DISLIKE bar, the are five times more LIKES than DISLIKES. Which means while 80% of DMC fans play and enjoy this game, the other 20% will become jealous of the 80% with the game, become hipocrits and say shit like "this game might be a good game after all", then go buy it.

@2244P Hideki leaves Capcom, apparently Capcom holds DMC, so he can't leave Capcom with his project. however, he's now working in Platinum Games, created the best hack n slash so far - Bayonetta. people consider Bayonetta as "next DMC" since the game has one or two connections with DMC, Bayonetta "woman version" of Dante. the combat moves are quite stylish similar to DMC (i think it's much better).
i don't think anyone knows better about DMC other than Hideki himself.
@zeroskaterz92 I don't think Hideki Kamiya left after making DMC 1 otherwise there wouldn't be the game "Okami" and it was released around the late 2006. I heard he had plans on expanding something related with Vergil for DMC 2.
If Platinum Games got a hold of DMC, I would like to know if Kamiya plans to pick up after DMC 1. What I like about DMC 1 Dante is his cockiness was toned down and it was bearable. I'm not a fan of protagonists with cocky attitudes.

Dante (DMC) & Leon (RE) are original comes from the same character. both character have similar personalities, their face, their attitude, except hair color. then Leon being serious character up until now so Dante should be the opposite otherwise both might end up being cliche.
while new DmC doesn't need the old Dante, RE6 have Leon with Dante appearance.

I really loved DMC, and Ninja Theory is one of my favorite studios. I think its great they're making this! Remember when Team Ninja made the new Ninja Gaiden games? Or when Bethesda got the rights to Fallout? They all worked out great!

I love Dante's look in this game, also love the look of the world Ninja Theory created, yes Ninja Theory, one the most underrrated and most talented developers out there, if you nerds would pay more respect to true art, then you would probably appreciate Ninja Theorys work on this and their other extremely underrrated games.
@mitrooper correct your comment, Capcom Japan doesn't work with them, they only give combat list, design few things, that's all. they aren't helping them after that. cuz they have better games to concentrate like Dragon's Dogma, one of the high expectation games from Capcom. RE6 which is over 600 people working on that game for over 3 years now.

I know a lot of you guys will hate me for this statement, but I think this will be a good game...the question is, will it be a good Devil May Cry game? From what I understand, this is not a reboot, or a prequel to the first games, but it is an alternate reality Dante as it were...just think of this game not as another Devil May Cry game, but as a game with a similar concept with a whole different spin on it. I think this looks awesome. I'm a little bugged by the fact that the companionship aspect here looks a LOT like Enslaved, but I haven't seen enough to judge that. The gameplay looks a lot like the same Devil May Cry hackn'slashn'shoot, and this young Dante sounds a lot like Dante.

@MrDrowsorcerer Ninja Theoy said Dante's attire is pretty much like punk rock style so the union jack is punk rock. Besides, Ninja Theory isn't working on DmC alone. The minority of Capcom Japan is helping out on the game as well (particularly on the combat aspects). Hideaki Itsuno (past director of DMC 2, 3, and 4) has been taking frequent trips to Ninja Theory.

Saying that real DMC fans wouldn't buy this game is stupid. For one, real fans of franchises typical buy every game comes out, you know, cuz they're REAL fans. Other people are saying that is connected to the original, i really don't know, The only explanation for this is that this is a devil may cry story that came up even before part 3, So this may be a younger dante, if he was at least in his 20's on part 3, i would have to say that he might have been ranging from 17 to 19 years old, but that's just some speculation i got, i don't know if it's true.

I have no problem starting over/rebooting a game , its just the designs look nothing impressive here. Seriously nothing looks that cool, especially compared to DMC4. Why redesign computer characters that work? And where are all the hot chicks with guns? Dont tell me they took that out as well. Hope its good but nothing shown so far has been a convincing change. Give me back DMC 4 Dante, Lady and Trish. They are popular for a reason

@2244P the game itself called "DEVIL" May Cry. it's about a devil named Sparda, sacrificed himself to protect human realm, betrayed his own kin and sealed the demon realm along with himself.
DMC4, Order of the Sword that worships Sparda. for them, Sparda is not just a devil, they acknowledged him as an angel.
Capcom owe us the story of Sparda, how he rebel, sealed himself, escape to the modern day, how he fall in love with Eva, have twins.

Two,DMC games always get better as u playthrough,and 3,it's a prequel 2 the prequel;this game could have all sorts of new elements 2 the story and the gameplay that would have us like....DAMN! I've got an idea CAPCOM. Dante said that it has been a year since we last met to Vergil in DMC3. Show us how that happened. Or amke a game starring Vergil and his story. I know these ideas are far better than a reboot like this.

Ninja Theory is doing the chunk of it, Capcom is helping out on the gameplay and oversee the production of it. Hideaki Itsuno (director of DMC 2, 3, and 4) is the supervising director for DmC.
@2244P just because Hideaki Itsuno supervise it, doesn't mean it will going well as expected. just look at DMC4 as Itsuno told us about being able to complete the game with Dante, but look how it end? Dante was just in the middle of the whole game. besides Itsuno is full time busy with Dragon's Dogma, what makes him going to pay any attention towards DmC? and Capcom workers busy with two upcoming Resident Evil and SFxTekken. also over 600 workers busy with RE6.

And Capcom is sitting passenger seat to the whole project, and I highly doubt they'll let NT do anything to horrible with they're game. I'm pretty skeptical about NT too, but with Capcom guiding them it should turn out well. Besides, NT might've actually improved since they're last game. Who's to say? I know I'll definetly be buying this game, and hopefully it'll live up.

@diegoniceguy okay the lead designers has been asked multiple times if this is a reboot or a prequel he said no comment everytime. The engine that all other dmc's were on ran at 60 fps this dmc runs on a different engine at 30 fps. Also his mother was killed when they were children the demon world was sealed away before they were born. and that weapon he is using isn't rebellion which he should be using thus making it more likly its a reboot not a prequal

I dont know what everyone is complaining about, he seems like a younger dante, so maybe he didnt always have the white hair, it makes sense that as he uses his demonic side more his physical form might show it. The gameplay and everything look just as awesome.
I cant see any reason to hate this game. It has nothing to do with the other ones and should be considered an adaptation. Its not necessarily a reboot its in another universe. I love this game so far it looks sick. and the music? Even better. I will buy this game not because I have some crush on the guy's hair or habits. Its cause this dude is kicking ass and is generally likable.

I really loved DMC, and Ninja Theory is one of my favorite studios. I think its great they're making this! Remember when Team Ninja made the new Ninja Gaiden games? Or when Bethesda got the rights to Fallout? They all worked out great!

I think this looks awesome. I'm a little bugged by the fact that the companionship aspect here looks a LOT like Enslaved, but I haven't seen enough to judge that. The gameplay looks a lot like the same Devil May Cry hackn'slashn'shoot, and this young Dante sounds a lot like Dante.

@MrDrowsorcerer Ninja Theoy said Dante's attire is pretty much like punk rock style so the union jack is punk rock. Besides, Ninja Theory isn't working on DmC alone. The minority of Capcom Japan is helping out on the game as well (particularly on the combat aspects). Hideaki Itsuno (past director of DMC 2, 3, and 4) has been taking frequent trips to Ninja Theory.

Other people are saying that is connected to the original, i really don't know, The only explanation for this is that this is a devil may cry story that came up even before part 3, So this may be a younger dante, if he was at least in his 20's on part 3, i would have to say that he might have been ranging from 17 to 19 years old, but that's just some speculation i got, i don't know if it's true.

I have no problem starting over/rebooting a game , its just the designs look nothing impressive here. Seriously nothing looks that cool, especially compared to DMC4. DMC4, Order of the Sword that worships Sparda. for them, Sparda is not just a devil, they acknowledged him as an angel.
Capcom owe us the story of Sparda, how he rebel, sealed himself, escape to the modern day, how he fall in love with Eva, have twins.

Ninja Theory is doing the chunk of it, Capcom is helping out on the gameplay and oversee the production of it. Hideaki Itsuno (director of DMC 2, 3, and 4) is the supervising director for DmC.

And Capcom is sitting passenger seat to the whole project, and I highly doubt they'll let NT do anything to horrible with they're game. The engine that all other dmc's were on ran at 60 fps this dmc runs on a different engine at 30 fps. Also his mother was killed when they were children the demon world was sealed away before they were born. and that weapon he is using isn't rebellion which he should be using thus making it more likly its a reboot not a prequal

No not getting it, After Ninja Theory insulted us fans, trashed Dante, and completely ignored us fans, I'm not getting it. Capcom should hand the rights to Devil May Cry over to Hideki Kamiya, the man who created Devil May Cry. But there to afraid of handing Devil May Cry over to someone they know will make the game better then they could, so they are just fine with letting the fan base fall apart. Because they want to spark controversy. Fuck you NT!!!!

I dont know what everyone is complaining about, he seems like a younger dante, so maybe he didnt always have the white hair, it makes sense that as he uses his demonic side more his physical form might show it. The gameplay and everything look just as awesome.

I cant see any reason to hate this game. It has nothing to do with the other ones and should be considered an adaptation. Its not necessarily a reboot its in another universe. I love this game so far it looks sick. and the music? Even better. I will buy this game not because I have some crush on the guy's hair or habits. Its cause this dude is kicking ass and is generally likable.
