With the advent of 4.0.3a, I was able to do this on my troll druid (really, the only race of druid you should play) and actually did these quests before I watched this video. However, I wanted to see TB's take on this, because he's just that damn entertaining.

@totalhalibut i saw your video a while back on the coolest quest ever, and its not bad, and after if you go look the guys you sent away you have to save. but if you want an even cooler quest, go to the badlands and near the scar of the world breaker you will find 3 drunk's who have story's to tell about deathwing, and you play out they're story's. the first one is to punch deathwing in the face... that should be temping enough ;)

npcs get to run back to they corpses and ressurect just like players. That explains respawn time ;o the corpse run back for mobs. Diffrent respawn timers is they have diffrent graveyards ;o

17:45 There's been tons of NPC resurrection. In WotLK, it was noted that Scarlet General Abbendis has been killed tons and TONS of times, and constantly brought back. Forsaken quests even had you take steps to prevent resurrection (dump starving rats on their corpses). And of course, someone's gotta be resurrecting faction leaders after they get ganked by respective horde/alliance raids. =)
