  • OMG, is the Best Show, I ever watched... Thank God, I was High As Fuck last night when i watched.... Loved It!!!!

  • i saw this show live!! It's last showing where Spike Lee filmed... it was amazing! life changing

  • this is the best show ever

they are making a movie of it, but i don't think it will be able show the feelings

  • Considering the fact stayed on broadway for a mere five or so months, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that got to see it. It was an amazing play, my favorite by far (and i've seen wicked, spring awakening.. ect.) It was just wonderful, and anyone who refuses to give it a chance really should listen to the entire score and then make their decision.

  • This show music is so good, but i can't believe it already closed! I mean why!? anyways, has Stew released any albums under any band or artist names?

  • Stew's original band "The Negro Problem" put out a few albums, might be able to find a few of them floating around. A few solo albums and with another band called the Lullabies.

  • unforgettable show. incredible talents.

  • STEW ROCKS!

  • amazing amazing show. go and see it!

  • I work at the theatre that this show is playing in and i must say, not just because i work there but, THIS IS MY FAVORITE MUSICAL ON BROADWAY RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!

  • Because of the spectacular "lighting" that was featured on this performance and the Tonys, you can't see what a fantastic show this is, but you still must see it, it's the best show currently running on Broadway!

  • This looks about as bland and insipid as Rent

  • Wow. Are you kidding?

  • No. This show looks fucking BORING. It's trite and uninspired, who would want to see it (besides the wanna-be hipster plebes that eat this shit up)?

  • you really shouldn't knock it before you know more about it. I've never seen it, but it looks extremely intresting and the songs aren't too bad. You don't know how inspiring it is until you try it. If you give it a chance, you might just like it ....

  • As long as I don't have to pay.

  • I saw it, It was suprisingly good.

  • That's why your account is closed.

  • i would have to agree with u here.this song lacks humph,it seems to just want to tell the story so much that it gives up some of its musicality. also the signers are ok, but not great.

  • if you see the show it all works together making an awesome show

  • I can't wait to see it...sounds like something i could definitely identify with...there's nothing wrong with Madea, but there needs to be more than just Tyler Perry plays and The Color Purple musical.

  • i went to see the show. it was okay.

  • why didn't they do all of this at the tonys? it would have been much mor entertaining than what they did show. I don't quite know how to read the stew character, because he's kind of annoying to me. it's a brilliant concept and I fully support the show but stew seems annoying unprofessional.

  • well done Stew.

  • THIS show is brilliant and i hope it will be around for a very long time.

  • I recently saw this onstage on Broadway. As a black kid who grew up in white suburbia, it's so refreshing to see an experience like mine finally represented, with some black people who aren't afraid to truly rock out. Thank you, cast and crew and everyone, for this amazing show.

  • yeah. and its funny because just the other day i was thinking - when the hell is there gonna be a black play/musical where thats not Madea, southern or involves people wearing overalls. ..yeah. Revolutionary stuff. I love it.

  • I haven't seen the show yet but this is exactly why I'm planning a trip up to NYC to see this show.

  • Thanks for putting this up, JD!

I was too excited when I watched it live to fully absorb all of it's beauty!

  • that was really good! they should perform that medly a the tonys!

  • Aww Daniel....you look the same as in highschool! So happy for you!

  • love ya stew!!! i will make it to n.y. to see this soon!!!

  • ok rex, why didn't you say something to me back then? I coulda gone...

  • @gutterpins5 I know it's been two years since you posted this comment, but by god, thank god there's a filmed version!

  • Stew and Heidi and this cast are about To blow Up Like Shakespeare

  • These people are awesome (gosh, I love Daniel Breaker)

I just wonder how people who saw this and never heard of/saw the musical think after seeing this. It's introduced as a Broadway show, but it's a bit...unconventional?
