Do not train yourself to much, I finished the game at lvl 34, for me the ending was just to easy, i killed them with 1 pot and one healing magic, using only fireball (lvl 13) and magic missile (lvl 15) + lvl 5 destruction and 100 int. so in one word, with a mage:P

I can't imagine how you people like this ending. Yes, It's different. But you just spent a week butchering friends and running about as a pawn. Only to lose. Because that is exactly what happened, You Lost.
This is one of the few games I've ever played where the bad guys win after all! Yes, I'm well aware it could be leading to a sequel but that's just not good enough. The ending to a game needs to stand on it's own relative to that games' sake. I mean, what if a sequel gets cancelled hmm? You can't just rely on that and, besides, I paid good money for THIS game not Divinity 3. @iibliss Flames of Vengeance is already out for PC but you can't buy it for Xbox 360 Divinity II The Dragon Knight saga contains the original game and the expansion and a remastered engine and is due for release in November this year. The trailer was also just released. Google it.

This game really requiers big patiance. Combat system sucks, even more when you close to end. Your decisions wont effect the storyline, and always evil wins and you will be used as a pet. It feels like developers kinda bored close to ending. I finished the game and deleted fast as I can from my pc:P

An ending this depressing at least deserves an alternate route. This was one I expected for all the evil choices in the game, not the good. It's sad to realize that it doesn't really matter what kind of moral value choices you make in a game when you lose like this anyway. At least give us the option of confronting Damien directly rather than going after his dead concubine's soul.

Plus this was after suffering through the game's endless amount of issues. Buggy quests unable to be completed, graphical issues, incredible choppiness and frame rate issues despite being played on a high end machine, (especially in the flying fortresses my machine had to be reset several times and the graphics turned all the way down despite a system more than capable of handling the software.) This game had so much potential but fell so short.

I enjoyed that this ending was DIFFERENT. At first, I had thought I messed up somewhere and got the bad ending. After figuring out that this was the only ending, I must admit I grew fond of it. Better this than some completely retarded reason to fight the same enemies in the next game (it is a trilogy, remember?), after having "beat" them.

Yea that game went from really hard to super easy, to hard at the end in that room. i couldnt use charms and i didnt have any enchantments in my items, nor did i upgrade my skills past 5, it was pretty hard, i died twice but i killed them. i love the bugs, like when you charge at somebody and you charge backwards and off a cliff, i died that way, bugs need to be fixed. but good game but a horrible ending.

I think the mage is a little too powerful in this game, the only bloody fight I had was the final battle with Divine, which also only cost me 30 sec, of course I was almost slayed by them but I only drinked one ultimate healing potion before I started.
The best RPG I have ever played! I learnt that great game is not built by piles and piles of money but intelligence and passions! I really really admire the developers, I got to read their minds some day, haha~

ye this was one of the best RPG games i ever played and ill even say its better then never winter nights but i cant say better then fallout but very close to it ^^
(even if the dargon part for me was buged i died like 90% of the time in one hit there, i saved like crazy when i was a dragon)
i experienced also the same thing. but there's a trick to solve the bug. sometimes when you enter a flying fortress you will definitely get killed in one hit. what you should do is just save the current game and load it again. or maybe your experience bar freezes during level up, just save and load again like i said.
fallout is undeniably a great game and many people have enjoyed playing it. i think it uses the same engine with Elder scrolls Oblivion. when you press E and talk to somebody, the camera will zoom into the subject's face and he turns his head looking at you. i think it is slightly unnatural. i personally prefer the dialogue interface of Ego Draconis.
All those gaming hours for this. If I had known that the bad guy would win anyway, I wouldn't have wasted all those countless hours happily enjoying this game.
Virumor said there is a sequel to this. perhaps he is right too, we must think out of the box sometimes and not following the old tradition where every ending must be a good one.
Just a small caveat: there WILL certainly be a sequel, provided the game sells enough... it was made by a small European game developer who isn't backed by a money-grabbing (& throwing) corporate machine like EA, Activision or whatever. ;)

Nah, there's an interview with one of the developers where it's stated that they planned the story to develop like this from the very beginning... in fact the original Divinity games also had bad endings (but nowhere near this).
Evil dude is surprised his chick reawakened without his help, she answers that she created a lackey to free her and that it has been very faithful... at the very ending it's basically "Is everything ready?" "Oh yes, it's time our conquests begin."

I enjoyed that this ending was DIFFERENT. At first, I had thought I messed up somewhere and got the bad ending. After figuring out that this was the only ending, I must admit I grew fond of it. Better this than some completely retarded reason to fight the same enemies in the next game (it is a trilogy, remember?), after having "beat" them.

My bnigest problem with this game is wow Im a dragon im doing good and im powerful. And then you get told that you are a pawn a puppet and your deeds ended the world. Its like a big FUCK YOU in the face. Good game horrible ending

i'd hoped there'd be some twist which involved having to fight damian and winning. But this was like omg when i finished the game and left on a cliffhanger. I hope they do a divinity 3 where you can be a dragon knight.

This game gave me a lot of fun experience tho I pretty much expected the *pretty ending, lots of flowers, colours and everyone were happy and lived long* like in ALL RPGs out there. When I finished it the first thing that came to my mind was "FUCK YESSSSSSSSS". Best ending ever! (tho It's a cliffhanger)

Im not a fan of goodie goodie in the grass fall in love ending's Personally I like it when the bad guy win's sometimes but this is dreadful. I may as well be right with the divine in agony with my mouth droped unbelieveable.

Yea that game went from really hard to super easy, to hard at the end in that room. i couldnt use charms and i didnt have any enchantments in my items, nor did i upgrade my skills past 5, it was pretty hard, i died twice but i killed them. i love the bugs, like when you charge at somebody and you charge backwards and off a cliff, i died that way, bugs need to be fixed. but good game but a horrible ending.

omg you can't play after you beat it? BS was hopin there would be like free roam or somethin also ending sortof sucks. No alternate endings, hopefully divinity 3 if there is 1, will have this stuff :o this totally made me reconsider spendin money to buy it <_< the game seems pretty awesome besides the end though gotta admit... ill probably make a save before endgame to do free roam or somethin

another tip: If you want to save inside the Hall of Echoes, make a new save. If you enter, you cannot leave. (at least not in that dream)

I guess it's about 30-60 hours long.
After you beat it there's a cutscene(which is horrible by the way) and then the credits. You can NOT play after you beat it.
So you want to save your progress to a new saved game when you enter the Hall of Echoes. Because when you enter the Hall of Echoes you cannot leave!

You can get alot of exp if you follow the road that leads to farglow :) That's where Damian's Flying fortressess are.

I've done the fortresses toooo and still I was like 28 if I remember good not lvl 60 WTF.
And I also had bugs that denied me to use charms and to sell stuff so it was hard:(

I play the whole time to do somting like: survive, win a war... BUT NO!
the stupid game is made that you die or lose at the end!
I dont care if all i wuld see was death of damian... the game is simply not rewarding this way

I think the mage is a little too powerful in this game, the only bloody fight I had was the final battle with Divine, which also only cost me 30 sec, of course I was almost slayed by them but I only drinked one ultimate healing potion before I started.
The best RPG I have ever played! I learnt that great game is not built by piles and piles of money but intelligence and passions! I really really admire the developers, I got to read their minds some day, haha~

The Amulet is from the fishing Ghost so you must bring it to him. and did u find sassan's ring to release her? it's in the cave near the wale skeleton

ye this was one of the best RPG games i ever played and ill even say its better then never winter nights but i cant say better then fallout but very close to it ^^
(even if the dargon part for me was buged i died like 90% of the time in one hit there, i saved like crazy when i was a dragon)

i experienced also the same thing. but there's a trick to solve the bug. sometimes when you enter a flying fortress you will definitely get killed in one hit. what you should do is just save the current game and load it again. or maybe your experience bar freezes during level up, just save and load again like i said.

fallout is undeniably a great game and many people have enjoyed playing it. i think it uses the same engine with Elder scrolls Oblivion. when you press E and talk to somebody, the camera will zoom into the subject's face and he turns his head looking at you. i think it is slightly unnatural. i personally prefer the dialogue interface of Ego Draconis.

Just a small caveat: there WILL certainly be a sequel, provided the game sells enough... it was made by a small European game developer who isn't backed by a money-grabbing (& throwing) corporate machine like EA, Activision or whatever. ;)

ye that was the most unfiting ending to a game to think they gave us a char that can become a dragon (kill an army deamons and alot of other stuff) and then he get stuck in a crystal with all his powers
and im not sure they goin to do a "Divinity3" but if they do i hope that is a continue to Divinity 2 (you get free) and not a new Divinity

Nah, there's an interview with one of the developers where it's stated that they planned the story to develop like this from the very beginning... in fact the original Divinity games also had bad endings (but nowhere near this).
