@luvspaiste Lemme try again - "They play it because Elsa loses the man she marries, not because he dies, but because of some curse that makes him go away forever."
Romeo and Juliet is about love that's lost. Elsa loses her love.
@luvspaiste Elsa's is also the corps song, and the musical elements are really dramatic, and a perfect fit for the end of Juliet's tale. If you check out DCI, there's a blog about the design of the show and it explains it all really in depth.
@luvspaiste Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral is from the Opera Lohengrin and it's about a girl named Elsa who is about to get married and this is the song she walks down the aisle to. They play it because Elsa loses the man she marries, not because he dies, but because of some curse that makes him go away forever.
*goosebumps*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow! wish they coulda slowed it down on some parts though to increase the drama (but i guess it would interfere with the marching aspect...i mean it IS a marching show/band). Simply amazing, so glad i had the honor of hearing/seeing them play at the Georgia Dome =) if you have the money to do it, i HIGHLY recommend to go to DCI (just for phantom Reg, it's worth it)
So what exactly does SUTA mean, stand for or originate from?

@SecretMcMustache-
I'm familiar with Wagnerian opera. What I meant was-- this music has nothing to do with the show's theme.

@luvspaiste Don't complain. This is a classic Phantom piece and exactly what I've been waiting for for YEARS.

@luvspaiste That question is about as dumb as asking what does Horns have to do with Drum Corps...

Not too bad. Phantom outdid themselves this year. I was surprisingly not disappointed.

If God had a hornline, this is it. I'm sure the angels in heaven that are blowing trumpets were Regiment folks on earth....

@stareuph and Cadet's "angels" wish they were Phantom trumpets
