  • THE MOST FEARED GENERAL OF TIME =) THE ONE AND ONLY GEORGE PATTON =) THE BEST OF THE BEST... GENERAL OF GENERAL.. COMMANDER OF COMMANDER ...THE WAR GOD =) GREETING FROM THE PHILIPPINE SIR PATTON =)

  • If the MOVIE is even half as true to his time as general...this guy was OUR BEST GENERAL!!! R.I.P. to the great GEORGE S. PATTON!!!....and GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

  • By the same token, should we remember Hitler as the Greatest German Leader (who ended unemployment and developed many social welfare programs), and "Nothing more, nothing less"?

Sadly, we have to consider the whole man, and I'm sorry to say, Patton--who I used to admire before I learned the truth about his disgraceful, bigoted personality--is hardly worthy of hero-worship!

  • In addition to being an outstanding military strategist and pro-active combatant, Patton was a mean-spirited, racist, anti-Semitic unrepentant Confederate...His comments about the Jews, after the Liberation, were reprehensible and disgusting. Old "Blood and Guts" wouldn't have lasted 3 days in a concentration camp! Reading his curse-filled, machismo speeches makes you wonder whether he wasn't talking tough to build himself up, concealing a basically scared-shitless inner self!

  • @jrobjer Patton was certainly prejudiced in many ways...as most were back than. But he took good care of his troops regardless of race, color or creed. War is hell and Patton gave the ENEMY hell. To hell with the rest. Everyone is prejudiced to a degree. Patton should be remembered as the GREATEST AMERICAN SOLDIER. Nothing more, nothing less.

  • @vomit49894 true... agree man.... patton was the best of the best... nothing more nothing less.......

  • Patton was ready to go to Berlin the whole time...He was comanded to stop and wait becuase of Montgomery not just eisenhower,,,,,Before Patton ever reached Germany Before the Battle of the Bulge Montgomery wanted all the military supplies from Pattons army for his own...thats why things happend the way they did...My Opinion they should have let Patton go to Germany first and than kick the Russians out before they could every become a super power

  • george patton and an M2 machine gun by god he could rule the world

  • He come to know to late he was a Jewish owned lap dog who soon latter killed,he sould have went to the side of Germany.88

  • Some of the comments on here are a product of a DUMBED DOWN JUDEO-ZIONIST AMERIKAN EDUCATION and a FLUORIDATED WATER PROGRAM. Sad to think they could be my neighbor, the obese fuck in blue fondling 9 year old kids at Detroit Metro Airport, or one of the scum who voted for Obama or a Neo-COn. The Germans were never Amerika's enemy. AMERIKA NEEDS TO STAY THE FUCK OUT OF OTHER COUNTRIES BUSINESS and STOP FUNDING THE WELFARE STATE KNOWN AS ISRAEL!!! OCCUPY and END THE FED!!! VOTE RON PAUL 2012!!!

  • Well done.

  • If Patton were to choose, between commanding in an office and commanding on the field, he'd choose the field. :P

  • I wonder were those guns are with initials on them!!!! They must be worth a fortune!!!!

  • @vikings844 those "guns" are PISTOLS and they are IVORY HANDLED NICKEL PLATED PISTOLS and one is a .357 and the other is a .45 Peacemaker and they are both on display at the Patton Museum at Fort Knox Kentucky. the initials G S P stands for George Smith Patton.

  • @SocratesTheGadfly I know the Initials stand for George Smith Pattton, that's why I said they muist be worth a fortune! Thank's for the info,I'm guessing in the open market those Pistols are worth well over a Million dollars!!!!!

  • @vikings844 They pistols are on display at the Patton Museum at Fort Knox Kentucky and they are on loan from the Patton Family and are certainly NOT for sale. The inheritors of Patton's estate want the Pistols to be on display for the general viewing public as well as numerous other items from his collection. George Patton himself used the Pistols on several occasions and NOT like in the movie and as for historical memorabilia they are quite valuable but more so to the Patton Family.

  • @SocratesTheGadfly I never said the gun's are for sale! I was just saying what they are probably worth. At a auction they would fetch over a million no problem.

  • @vikings844 of that I have no doubt but then they would be in somebody's personal collection and regarded as a personal play thing out of sight of the general public and eventually forgotten to history and possibly melted down for scrap and the ivory sold off to make other objects.

  • @SocratesTheGadfly I agree with that a great piece of american history would be out of sight, and that it does belong in a musuem on public viewing, but I highly doubt somebody would pay a million for this pistol, then scrap it out. They would never make their money back, the value in the pistol is keeping it intact.

  • @vikings844 yes of course the original owner who would buy it most likely would keep it safe but he/she would NOT live forever and their descendents and inheritors may or may not and as an act of hatred would have the pistols scrapped. LIBERALS hate the military and hate soldiers and in particular hate the legacy of American military success that has liberated over a billion people around the world.

  • @SocratesTheGadfly Could happen, but a plane could fall out of the sky and hit you as you are walking down the street also, very unlikely, but could happen.I should also remind you that anything that fires a bullet is considered a Gun. Pistols represent a wide range of hand gun's. If you want to get technical about it, Patton gun is called a Revolver because of it's clockwise revolving chambered cylinder.

  • @vikings844 yes, fair enough. technically the PISTOLS are actually REVOLVERS and I pray to God that Patton's inheritors will want to continue the history and legacy of this fine American and Gentleman despite his controversial nature.

  • Could you imagine if Patton had command of the Soviet Army, he would have taken Berlin by 43.

  • @deathcar can you imagine if patton were given enough gas in europe instead of it all going to montys flop named market garden hed of shot that paper hanging son of a bitch Hitler himself

  • @robertTingley You do realise Market Garden was an Allied failure. However it was always a huge gamble Monty wanted the war to be over 1944, And for the British to take Berlin. However that America idiots Eiesnhower wanted to advance on a wide front, Patton agreed with Monty we should advance on Berlin no stop! However Eienshower made it clear the Red Army could have Berlin and more of Europe.

  • @martynrobin121 You may be right. But Monty was not 1/4 the soldier Patton was......Patton could have gotten to Berlin first (even though that was forbidden by the pact with the Russians) had he been given the chance. Monty would be so busy "regrouping" Hitler would have died of old age first!

  • @vomit49894 What the hell are you talking about?

Monty was superior to Patton in everyway.

Also the Soviets invited the Allies 1945 to take part in the Battle of Berlin, And that cowardly man Eienshower refused, and stated "Let the Russians bleed for Berlin" Monty should have been in Berlin 1944.

Also after the Bulge, Patton hardly had the resources to get to Berlin, The Allies needed to wait for more supplies, The Soviets saved us in every way possible, Uncle Jo.

  • @martynrobin121 I agree the soviets more or less won the European war. It certainly wasn't for "us" it was for "them" however. Also concur that Patton was shortchanged by SHAEF in supplies. I stand by him being a better general than Monty.

  • @vomit49894 The Soviets played the main role during WW2. And the Allies had ALL the Supplies and everything the Axis could only dream about. Monty was superior to Patton, From Alamein-Tripolli-Tunisia thousands of miles the Desert Hound hunted down Rommel the desert fox. Even Zuchov could not match that! What about Wavells Blitzreig 1940? From Egypt-Bengazi(Libya) 30,000 troops 300 tans against 500,000 troops 600 tanks, And Wavell won!

  • @martynrobin121 I know the Soviets played the MAIN role in WWII. Anyone could tell you that. Patton was superior to Monty, by force of personality, risk-taking and his audacity. Monty was supposes to have Caen at the end of DDay....didn't happen. Also the whole debacle of Market Garden was another Monty classic. Plus Patton reduced to a subsidiary role in Sicily took Messina before ol' Monty could get there. Just the facts, sir.

  • @vomit49894 What is this?...."GO COMPARE" Patton was NOT superior to Monty, A well kown FACT! Also taking Caen in 1-day would have been impossible for any leader, The best Axis Forces were based near Caen, The SS and Axis troops rushed to Normady were sent to Caen, As Rommel said "Whoever controls Caen, Controls Normandy" British were in control. Monty took Caen after a bloody battle, and seems to get blamed for Market-Garden, Even know it was Eisenhower, He knew the gamble & risk.

  • @martynrobin121 Your opinion is that, like mine an opinion. But the truth of the matter the Germans kept there BEST army in France (the 15th) at the Pas de Calais, where they believed Patton was going to land with his (fictitious) 1st US Army Group. Hitler clung to this belief long after his Generals. And that's a FACT. Monty was good, but never a fighter in the mold of Patton.

  • @vomit49894 Monty was a born fighter & Leader, His campaigns during the Great War. Monty the Hound of North Africa WW2, From Alamein-Tripolli-Tunisia thousands of miles of Axis & even French Territory taken. Rommel the fox on the run & defeated.

Campains in Italy,France,Beligum,Holland,Germany, etc. Monty was superior to Patton, Just like many others.

Patton was just a show for American propaganda. Monty was superior to Patton,

  • @deathcar General S. Patton is my great great great uncal

  • Ricains faces de cul !!! Ricains faces de cul !!! Ricains faces de cul !!! Ricains faces de cul !!! Ricains faces de cul !!! Ricains faces de cul !!! Ricains faces de cul !!! Ricains faces de cul !!! Ricains faces de cul !!! Ricains faces de cul !!! Ricains faces de cul !!! Ricains faces de cul !!!

  • This man was the true God of War.

  • Very true that the german people were forced to fight by hitler but, some chose to commit further attrocities like Dr. Mengle.

  • This is a man, Hero, and legend! I wish that al of our leaders could measure up to this man!

  • @hairdoggy yes but he was a great man a man of inspiration but leading talents who saved his country but he was also a killer at the same time and you may say things like "yes but the germans were trying to kill us" but it wasn't there fault. hitler made them, they had no choice

  • My Role Model

  • BEST U.S. GENERAL WAS MACARTHUR--WHO TELLS THE PRESIDENT TO USE SMALL NUCLEAR BOMBS ON THE CHINESE HORDE? LOL--GOT TO LOVE'EM!!

  • @BubbaLee2 Probably the same guy who accepts his congressional medal of honor for retreating from the Philippines to Australia and leaving his troops to march the Bataan death march.

  • @SuperSkipMaster THE BEST WAS MCARTHUR!!! MUST I SAY IT AGAIN!!!!

  • @BubbaLee2 Wow you have less knowledge of history than a high school text book...

  • @BubbaLee2 He also murdered unarmed WW1 veterans, against orders, protesting outside Washington to receive their promised benefits. He was a shit bag.

  • The U.S. General that the Nazis respected and feared more than Hitler.

  • Best in the U.S., second best in the world [after Rommel].

  • Patton was a great General. But his cousin Lewis"Chesty" Puller was greater! Patton was partially responsible for sending our tankers into Europe in the woefully undergunned Sherman tank, knowing full well the deficiencies beforehand! It wasn't until nearly the end of the European campaign that the US forces received a tank superior or even on par with the German panzers. Read "Death Traps" by Belton Cooper for more info.

  • @ChestyPullerFan That wasn't a mistake it was a tactic. Puller was nothing compared to Patton, It's like comparing Ney to Napoleon.

  • in wwll accoridng to the man i met they learned boxing and pattern was a strong fighter and good at boxing and he got cocky and "Is anyone here good enough to face me or are you cowards." although he wished he hadnt said that because a man for shaw (which is in manchester england) said "ere ya" and generalpattern ended up getting battered.although he the guy i talked to admired general pattern (as alot ofpeople do) and believed he was 1 of the bravest men he had ever met

  • although he sai it wasntlike in the movies and the germans treated their englishprisoners alright (but not good) and he was 1ce riding to fight in battle and generalpattern said to him "are you not afraid" and he replied "no,because ive left my wife at home with a load of young men".i found out he fought at normand.another story was that pattern hated germans so much and was a very religousman

  • believe it or not i was in liverpool and i shook the hand and talked to a man who had met general pattern and who knew him well.not only that he was saved by him.He told me a funny story that he was shot in the face through the jaw and he was in a hospital with nice food for 1ce and he couldnt eat it because his jaw hurt. Not only that they gave him an american uniform for 1 day buttook it off him so he had to stay in his on clothes with blood so he sat in his own blood for ages he made me laugh.

  • Patton On jews And Germans: =0sG8aVuhzTo

  • My idol , my inspiration Gen.George S. Patton !!

  • Patton was the best general in the entire US army during ww2 he died in a car accident ...... come on ! who can believe that ..... to me it's a conspiracy to get rid of him .

  • 1:04

    Nice photo...

It's like I can feel him putting his life for every single good citizen.

  • Although not a god, Patton was the U.S. General most feared by the Russians. Yes, the Russians. General Patton and Polish General Sikorski were murdered by the communists.

If Patton and Sikorski had survived WWII, there is a very good chance that the Red army would have returned to Russia. No Korean War. No Vietnam War.

    God bless America

  • @rjpancerniCAUSA i very much doubt it , patton was to gung ho , who did he fight , a german army on the retreat weakend by years of war and shortages, the 8th army beat rommel, and did the lions share of fighting in africa, thought we were on the same side , all patton was bothered about was beating monty ,in some silly one upmanship race,to tunis and palermo ,and in france , he broke out in the west while britishand canadiansfought the SS panzer divisions, then chased a defeated german army

  • @rjpancerniCAUSA then he chased a defeated german army to the german border ,leaving the infantry miles behind, if germans would of had forces to counter attack patton would of been in trouble , patton relieved bastogne ,in the bulge ,after most of the german tanks had run out of petrol, all im saying ,is that he talked the talk, but never really came up against a major force of german armour , like say at kursk, , my view is that he was never really tested on a large scale even battle.

  • @TheMightOfTheEnglish May very well be true. Pls rem that GP (and all of U.S.) had to start in U.S., sail to Africa/Europe, massive logisitics (worse in Pacific. San Diego to Okinowa, is thousands of miles further than Moscow to Berlin.) U.S. troops 'green' compared to U.K., Germ, Rus.

Patton was in Czech (as you know) ordered out. Patton always believed Rus would back down from allied weapons.

  • @TheMightOfTheEnglish Although never in Kursk size battle, Patton was most successful U.S. Army commander in Euro. At least the Germans knew who Patton was. Patton was a vocal anti-com, anti-Rus.

    Then he was dead.

  • @TheMightOfTheEnglish It is view. Patton is the real general who loves to battle it out.

  • Patton, Rommel nor Montgomery couldn´t compare with German Lieutenant-General Erich von Manstein which can be named collectively

with Napoleon or Alexander the Great

  • @ozeangruen Erich who?

  • @Nazgul001 Field Marshal Erich von Manstein was one of Hitler’s most brilliant commanders and a keen strategic mind. He had a distinguished career and played a crucial role throughout WWII. Copernicus be damned, 20 percent of Americans were still sure in 1999 that the sun revolved around the Earth.;)

  • @Nazgul001 von Mahnstein is taught at West Point and in the colonnade of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point is the adjacent oil painting of a soldier of the Waffen-SS.

  • @TehUberCyberBeast Patton was indeed a charismatic leader but not always a good tactician. Always stay in motion is properly right but to force a breakthrough at all costs at the Battle of the Kasserine Pass is is an open question.

  • thats my 4th cousin

  • His face says it all.

  • If only we had a man like that in command.

  • @Ianuil than you would fail with many deads just for the show

  • imagine the damage he could've done had we a tank in WWII that was a better match for the German armor. Say all those Sherman tanks were Pershing tanks instead. I think we had a small handful of Pershings in the European theater but not enough to have a great impact as a whole.

  • @Yakko77 the pershing comes as war was nearly finished

  • Patton had a specfic role to play on earth...I believe he was a being from a higher dimension bought down to earth to destroy the evil that was plaguing all over. He never backed out from his duty. Leading by example, this towering personality left the earth plane just 4 months after the war....so conveniently. Thank you Sir!

  • Serveing under Gen. George S Patton III u had a very good chance of seeing the war though & going home. HOWEVER, if u were an enemy combantant, you had an EXCELLENT chance of dying were u stood! No other American General cared for his fighting forces & demanded they return home after the fighting was over! Patton LOVED WAR & as such he knew the horrors of it & therefore how quickly it must come to an end, VICTORIOUS for AMERICA! His forces had the highest kill rate of enemy forces.

  • Accoding to THE PATTON PAPERs, Lt Col George S Patton I (CSA) was under Jeb Stuart and camped within the city limits of Washington DC. Was later killed in combat. George S Patton II was a little boy & his mother moved to S. CA. Later he went to Vir. Mil Acad came back to CA and married a Ruth WIlson--her father WILSON (MT Wilson named after him) was very rich and important. PATTON II married Ruth Wilson and they produced the Greatest American GENERAL!

    GEORGE S PATTON III!

  • Patton is legend

  • Patton was a god and I worship him every day.

  • WE NEED THE PATTON SPIRIT TODAY---WE NEED A LEADER LIKE HIM TO COME ALONG AND HELP THE USA IN THIS TROUBLED HOUR

  • i have a question i have been trying to find the answear for weeks now WHAT DID HE DO? apart from the fact that he is american i can't seem to find any kind of of accomplishments which makes him stand out from any other minor general in the second world war

  • @yamumisac0w

All those minor 4-star generals in WWII, the Nazis were scared shitless of him and based their tactics around his movements.

  • @FordGTGuy Here a list of Jonathan M. Wainwright IV Courtney H. Hodges George S. Patton Jr. Thomas T. Handy Omar N. Bradley Carl A. Spaatz Mark W. Clark George C. Kenney Jacob L. Devers Joseph T. McNarney Douglas MacArthur Malin Craig George C. Marshall Jr.John L. HinesDwight D. Eisenhower Henry H. Arnold Joseph W. Stilwell Walter Krueger Brehon B. Somervell And thats just a list of 4 star american generals not including the foreign high ranking generals and no they didn't
  • @yamumisac0w

Actually yes they did and Ike noticed that, during D-Day the Nazis kept their forces spread out in order to protect against a dummy army that was setup for Patton to lead.

The Nazis did extensive research on Patton and every where he went they tracked and would even abandon facilities that he was heading for. Other than Ike no other General scared the Nazis like Patton did the armies he commanded and trained destroyed any Nazi forces in their path.

  • @FordGTGuy

This is just some rubish which Patton fans have convicened themselves of to make them feel important the preperations for the Battle of Normandy involved several deception invasions operation quicksilver being the smallest of which. Fortitude and bodyguard being the biggest do you know these generals names no one says that the germans based there whole defense on them and that would be a more factual statement. I would like you to link me the webpage that has these facts

  • @yamumisac0w

Do you know anything about the Military and how the Military works?

If you did you would realize that a rank is not the same as a rate. Your little list of minor Generals included Dwight D. Eisenhower yet you hide the fact that he was in command of the European theater and general of the army. He was above both Bradley and Patton in rate, Patton was in charge of the 3rd Army.

I dare you to deny the accomplishments of the Third Army under Pattons command.

  • @yamumisac0w

    pattonhq .com/textfiles/thirdhst.html

(Fix URL and scroll down page to Patton)

  • @yamumisac0w

The Third Army had to stop a full scale attack they had started to the east, pull back the entire army, swing around ninety degrees to the north, and then begin another full scale attack on the southern flank of the German forces. Nothing like that had ever been done in the history of warfare. Everyone thought it was impossible except General Patton. He knew his men could do the impossible.

  • @yamumisac0w

It only took three days for the Third army to perform that massive maneuver. Today, military historians readily admit that only Patton's Third Army could have accomplished a maneuver like that and make it look easy. Patton always demanded more from his soldiers than other commanders did and they never let him down.

There is a reason people are fans of this General maybe you should start. BTW what do you have against the man?

  • @FordGTGuy

I have nothing against Patton just the people who praise this man as a hero while people who did so much more arn't. he achieved no more then any other ground general during normandy and i know this may get me in trouble but some may say less. Don't bullshit me with that RANK shit you said all those minor four star generals don't try and make out i said something i didn't and then accuse me of not knowing what I'M talking about.

  • @yamumisac0w

Of course he didn't achieve anything during Normandy he was forced out of the fight because of a couple stupid slapping incidents. The Germans even though it was a joke that the Allies would bench of their best generals because of it. They thought it was a ploy to allow surprise attack on Calais by Patton's phantom which is one of the reasons Germany's armies were spread out during Normandy.

  • @FordGTGuy I don't think face slapping, or bad manners had anything to do with shit. The media slants facts the way they are told to. They could have made him the favorite without him changing anything he did.

The truth of it is, the higher ups wanted to streach things out. Get bigger numbers. Can you imagine any other reason for attacking through Sicily? Or for keeping Patton from his real job?

Patton could have saved lives if he had of been in charge.

  • @yamumisac0w

Clearly you don't know what your talking about when you mention these Generals as if they were all on a even playing field. None of those generals were minor players in WWII. However none of them except for Patton accomplished what Patton did with the 3rd Army. The man was a hero he would stand outside of his jeep under fire on the front line shouting orders while other generals would stay 20 miles behind the front line. He gave his troops hope in a time where no hope existed.

  • @yamumisac0w

Douglas Mcarthur and Omar Bradley were both heros but as Patton would admit the only real heros are their soldiers on the front line. Patton loved war and battle but he also loved his army and the soldiers under him. Patton was a military man not a politician like Ike and his greatest enemies in WWII were politicians and his big mouth.

  • @FordGTGuy he gave his troops hope when then was none and love his soilders god can you been anymore self rightous for the love of god didn't ask for some commercial bullshit for tourist just wanted to know if he did anything that so emerged him from the crowd of brave wwii generals a a simple no would have sufficed

  • @yamumisac0w

Your completely blind if you can't see how his accomplishments in WWII were not exceeded by any other General in the War. He might have not been at D-Day but he turned whatever army he controlled into a unstoppable force whether it was in North Africa or Europe.

Most generals including Bradley under estimated Patton's ability as a general. Self righteous? I'm not talking about myself here......

Why don't you go get a clue.

  • @FordGTGuy Dude i'm not the one spitting out american propaganda let me give you a definition of self rightous i no your a little under educated so here "confident of one's own righteousness, esp. when smugly moralistic and intolerant of the opinions and behavior of others."

  • @yamumisac0w

Let me guess your not American and you hate America for no reason other than you think we are self righteous. You are calling me self righteous when I'm talking about a person that is not me which does not align with your definition. I really couldn't care what your opinion is and the only one that is self righteous here is you.

  • @FordGTGuy Dude did you even read the definination you are so dumb that you told me that by my definition you where not being self rightous and the say you don't care about my opinion becasue despite facts you are right no matter what "when smugly moralistic and intolerant of the opinions and behavior of others."

  • @FordGTGuy MacArthur was no hero...

  • @FordGTGuy

And even that website that you linked me said nothing about Quicksilver or the Nazis basing there defense plans on him. please don't embarrassed you sound like a patton commercial speaking about doing the imposible and hirsorians believing he is the greatest gerneral of the war words without proof the third army was only involved in one major battle during the war and that was them coming to the aid almost every army achieved more imposible feats on normandy and the early beakthough

  • @yamumisac0w

Lets make this clear no other Army in WWII matched the 3rd Army under Pattons command. They had the least amount of casualties of any army by a huge amount with a 100 Nazis killed for every 13 American. Now I know you are just looking for an excuse because if you would have actually have read the page I listed you would have understood the accomplishments made from his leadership.

You sound pretty butt hurt over this and btw the page listed does talk about his phantom army.

  • @yamumisac0w Patton didn't allow the 3rd army to stop and create a battle his army moved through Europe like a unstoppable force. Third Army Facts: Captured 765,483 POWs 515,205 POWs Surrendered to the third army total: 1,280,688 Killed: 144,500 Wounded: 386,200 Total: 1,811,388 Third Army Suffered 16,596 Killed 96,241 Wounded 26,809 MIA Total: 139,646 That is almost a difference of 13:1.
  • @yamumisac0w Targets destroyed by XIX Tactical Air Command(3rd Army) Tanks and armored cars 3,833 Motor vehicles 38,541 Locomotives 4,337 Railroad lines cut 2,585 Marshaling yards 974 Towns and villages 816 Factories 3,664 Supply dumps 220 Military installations 1,730 Gun installations 2,809 Highway and railroad bridges 285 Miscellaneous naval vessels 654 Miscellaneous targets 3,010 3rd Army Tank Destroyers 648 Enemy Tanks 211 Self Propelled Guns 801 pillboxes
  • @yamumisac0w 2,186,792 tons of supplies were moved 141,034,336 miles by trucks in the third army transportation pool. 2,092 mile of railway track were reconstructed. Repaired: 99,114 general purpose vehicles 21,761 combat vehicles 11,613 Artillery Pieces 125,083 Small arms 32,740 instruments Constructed 2,498 bridges (total footage of 255,520 feet) Built and maintained an average of 2,240 miles of road. Laid 3,747 miles of telephone wire
  • @yamumisac0w

The Lucky Forward (forward echelon of the Third Army) traveled 1,225 miles while making 19 complete moves during combat.

So much for one battle, if anyone here is at chance of embarrassing themselves it is you. The only thing that stopped Patton from moving into Berlin was the stop of resources that effectively stranded Patton's men in a bloody battle on the front line.

  • @FordGTGuy Uppers. HQ decided to give the "Pattons resources" to an ops called MARKETGARDEN---the Brits and American Forces ran into 2 SS Armored Divisions.

Had Patton been given those supplies he would have been in Berlin to "shoot that paperhanging son-of-bitch". U my Friend are RIGHT ON!

  • @rangeclerk Other way round actually. MARKET GARDEN was approved by Eisenhower before Patton's proposed Lorraine Campaign was even brought to SHAEF's attention. Ike permitted Bradley to launch the Hurtgen Forest Offensive with Hodges & launch Patton's attack towards Metz two days after he had given MARKET GARDEN the go ahead & promised to support it fully & thus he diverted resources from MARKET GARDEN to support Patton. Patton was stopped by the Metz fortifications & lost around 35,000 men.

  • @11nytram11 Operation Market Garden was thought of by "Monty", British Cmdr & sent to Ike..allies loss over 64,000+ forces with the damn Nazis handing the allies their asses. Suspect had Patton been given those resources instead his losses against the fortifications would have been lower. He also underestimated the force needed to rescue his son-in-law.

Patton called it correctly when observing the carts the Nazis were using---He would have been in Berlin and shot that "paper-hangin sonofabitch

  • @rangeclerk The Allied loses for Operation MARKET GARDEN were 15-17,000, no where near the loses of the Hurtgern Forest (33,000) or the Lorraine Campaign (35,000). No serious historian has ever claimed MARKET GARDEN's casualties as 64,000+

However, I'll repeat myelf to you since you obviously missed the point, MARKET GARDEN got SHAEF's approval before Patton's Lorraine Campaign or Hodges' Hurtgen Forest Offensive did and had resources diverted from it to support 12th Army Groups two offensives.

  • @rangeclerk Patton totally misjudged the situation around Metz & mishandled the campaign. He tried to bounce the Moselle river with no preparation while the Germans behind it were in the perfect position to oppose such a move & had the ability to do so & it turned into a disaster for the 3rd Army. Once he isolated Metz he could have bypassed it but instead insisted on attacking it frontally on a broad line & piecemeal. He dismissed the fortified position as worthless and his men paid the price.

  • @rangeclerk Patton made numerous bad calls in the Lorraine Campaign. His inability in this campaign to concentrate his forces when needed, to plan properly, to expoit openings (something he was usually brilliant at), to exersize his usual close command with subordinates & rarely taking an active interest in the battle itself (rarely visiting them at the front & being out of touch with the battle, which was out of character for him) were the main reasons he failed to push on quickly past Metz.

  • God bless Patton!

  • Patton was a relic he was all guts and blood but I love one of his quotes "My soldiers may die but their soul will remain forever." Now the music is terrific thanks parrow1978 reminds me of my dad when he was active duty he served as a soldier in WWII in the 12th army but he had passed on in 97 from a heart attack. I miss him a lot. R.I.P. dad

  • The Aryan (mostly Nordic) spirit positively oozed from this man! What a great leader.. General MacArthur was another great American Hero.. Men like this should have had a coup de'tate against the grasping internatioanlist zionists that were running the country - they, just as Churchill, were fully aware of this Jewish menace!

  • man this a great one here!!! let's go kick some ass!!

  • What a life he had ! I am french Canadian and i love Patton and the legend he is.

    Sorry for my english

  • @ohiaohiaono Thanks for your comments, and your English is fine.

Hey,i will buy a t-shirt with Patton pissing in the Rhin on the front and the text:"Lead me, follow me or get out of my way" on the back.

  • my all time idol for life

  • @ohiaohiaono Yes, General Patton was incredible, I hope to walk in his foot steps one day.

  • @ohiaohiaono Boy if Patton was here now he would be VERY anger to see what this country has become.

  • @ohiaohiaono Boy if Patton was here now he would be VERY anger to see what this country has become. My father was a sergant in Pattons Third Army. Truly a right in your face general. We need his toughness and pre-emtive views with the way the terrorist countries are throwing their threats. No compermising with enemies who are a threat to this country. God I wish we had a general like Patton now.

  • @davidandAim Yes,America(and Canada and Europe) need a lot of Patton. But people like him are very rare today. But a man recently elect in Florida is maybe a little Patton. Is name is LTC Allen West. Watch is speech on Youtube.

  • @ohiaohiaono OMG! I agree! I was just telling someone I would like to see DeMint/ West 2012!

  • @davidandAim if we had patton in office there would be no terrorist countried he would go in and desoy the buggers and have no problems doing it he is exactly who and what we need

  • @ohiaohiaono THANK YOU SIR!!! FUCK YA! Sorry for my French

  • @ohiaohiaono what a life he had i hope you don't say that in an envious voice

  • Hell Yes! Patton was a GOD!

  • @parrow1978 hell yes Blood for his man and guts for Patton. Then explain me how your god could send his men on bright daylight 12 :00 clock over the Saar River ?

Patton was just a showman what kind of tactician he was and he used?

  • @parrow1978 Hardly, he sure wouldn't say that of himself. Arrogant as the man was at times he was incredibly humble in prayer and prayed regularly during the war. He had his faults, as every HUMAN does - he couldn't stand politicians and they took it to their advantage. He hated the Russians and rightfully so, although it ultimately cost him his military career - in fact he thought more highly of the Germans than he did of either the Russians or British. A true American, he was magnificent.

  • @PeaceFromRome no he didn't i met a man who had been in the army and has met in twice he hated the germans but who am i to judge i barely know about him

  • @8matthewlee8 July, 1945. Patton wrote his wife: "We have destroyed what could have been a good race, and we are about to replace them with Mongolian savages. And all Europe will be communist."

In August he wrote "Actually, the Germans are the only decent people left in Europe. it's a choice between them and the Russians. I prefer the Germans." In September he wrote "What we are doing is to destroy the only semi-modern state in Europe, so that Russia can swallow the whole." -The Patton Papers

  • @parrow1978 general patton was an amazing general and massive help to us in wwII a man i'll never forget but i doubt a god.

    R.I.P. General

  • I would hate him in the White House, I would love him on the field where he belongs. He wasn't a diplomat, or politician, he was a soldier.
