  • so smart and so adorable!

  • Our kids could do this, too, it happened by accident at first, with foam bath letters, but we just followed our firstborn's lead, and he was reading at age two. Saw a book recently called "Native Reading" that kind of explains what's going on-- not genius after all, just co-opting of kids' natural genius with learning language.

  • cute baby!

  • this is so funny!! i cant believe he can read!!!

    this kid is so smart!

  • I wish I had this when I was a baby. I tell people I still have memories from when I was a baby and could understand what people were saying, though I couldn't formulate the words and speak with my mouth. Some don't believe me, but that's ok. I couldn't understand every single word, but most. I think babies are born with "an understanding", but need help to develop the speaking\reading muscles just like any other muscle. I even remember communicating with my baby cousins at the time.

  • That's terrific! The other one of him reading the flash-cards is great, too! Very sweet. That's how my mom taught me when I was very young. I am a bit lazier with my own daughter. I actually remember my first "big word" cards at around 30-36 mos.--castle, pudding and refrigerator!

  • I have a son, Nathan, who just graduated with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and I began teaching him to read when he was a baby. Keep teaching baby Nathan!!!! It was good you stopped when HE was tired. Never force.

  • oh my god unbelievable

  • how cute.

  • What a geniuss....!

  • omg, he's so smart! so young!
